22.01.2022 This week I did not post who was coming up on the show I am sorry. For those who missed the show, Keith and I had the Edward Hunter Bushland Reserve Committee on speaking about the Reserve in Moe and about a nature photo and picture competition for the kids, then we had Elaine with Russell Northe and Adrian Terranova speaking about who SCOPE’s decision to stop providing the service for multi disability clients and this will force them to either travel to Warragul or Sale if t...hey want their children to have this service, as nowhere else caters for the multi disabilities programs that is needed. Russell made an interesting point that the site in Morwell was purposely built for this type of client as they had to travel to Warragul or Sale. So why are we going backwards and where does that place the building in Morwell? Then we had Gary Blackwood on speaking about COVID-19, testing stations, Timber and the misinformation out there about Timber and then we got onto a bee in my bonnet which is the old Driver Education site in Newborough that was GIVEN to different parts of the Community by the old SECV and how through a few turns of events it has ended up in the hands of Wodonga TAFE’s hands (for not 1 dime) and they now want to sell it for just a cool couple of MILLION to go towards paying for their own Driver Education site in Wodonga. Yet a few of us are trying to establish a Wellness Centre of this site for Veteran’s. Hmm...more to come on that at a later date. See more
22.01.2022 Well yesterday I had a glitch while trying to update the post of who was on the show, so here is what you missed if you were not listening yesterday. 11 saw Keith and I speak to Michael from the War Museum up in Canberra on many things not the least about the 50 years it has been since the Korean War. 11.30 saw us trying to speak to Rob Gaulton from Great Latrobe Park and Tracey Anton from the Irrigators with the issue of the water and the filling or not filling of the Mine.... Sadly there was a slight glitch here too (it must have been the day) and while I did learn about having a person on Zoom and another on the phone at the same time, that did not occur until near the end. So hopefully we will try again next week. 12 saw us speak to Hugo who has invented an app that enables people from the age of 8 to be able to have a diagnosis as to whether they have dyslexia or not from the comfort of their own home. Lastly we had Andy Milbourne (Silverfox) speak to us with his Policeman’s hat on as well as Roadsafe’s and how they have been helping the youth with hypotheticals when getting behind the wheel. So as you can see it was an interesting session. Stay tuned for next week’s show from 11-1 on Tuesday morning. See more
