23.01.2022 This site https://rvskitchens.com.au/ was suffering from all the standard but terrible woes that befall so many SME websites built on Wordpress by the average web shop. Namely an over reliance on third-party plugins and themes. We built the theme ourselves in Bootstrap 4 and used 5 plugins (Gravity Forms, ACF, STREAM, SVG Support)... Be it a big or small job VA take the same approach. We are just as quick and probably no more expensive than others and sites built this way are always faster and the maintenance burden is as minimal as can be for Wordpress.

21.01.2022 It has been a pleasure to again help deliver the Horizon Festival website. This year the entire program will be online so a few modifications to the website were needed. For the current iteration we needed to remove some functionality (maps, accessibility info and ticketing) for 2020 yet preserve these features for the future. Thanks to great frontend and back end architecture these changes were super smooth and previous years investment in the site preserved.... Hosting the site on our Pantheon environment meant that content editors worked safely in a totally sandboxed development environment with comprehensive testing before a one click deployment immediately prior to today's launch.

19.01.2022 The end of the world could well be nigh and as such we've decided to be way more active calling out shoddy agencies building sub standard Wordpress sites and getting paid top dollar for it. This is a brand close to my heart and their new site went live today. This is the score on Google Speed Insights. With a score that poor on day one they will be lucky to get it into the average range even if they use every trick in the book.... - If you want your site built properly please get in touch - If you have a site that is nearing completion please use this free test as way to keep your web people honest. If they can't deliver average or better speed on mobile and desktop then don't spend any more money with them - If you are commissioning a new project make average or better speeds a criteria for payment

17.01.2022 It has been a huge week for everyone. We are wrapping up for the Easter break with a team chat about the week that was and a quick look at some new can designs for 10 Toes Brewery. With everyone working remotely for the last 4 weeks it is super important to check in and share what is going on across the team. 17.01.2022 Another great new Wordpress site now launched into the wild for our client Snowscene. On this site we really pushed our capabilities with the Wordpress Gutenberg editor with stacks of custom blocks to make it a breeze for editors to reuse content across various areas of the site. https://snowscene.com.au/

Especially exciting when you factor in a global pandemic right in the middle of launching a new retail store! Congrats to everyone at Fielders for sticking it out.
