20.01.2022 TAIWAN Taiwan could easily be considered a nation of stark contrasts. On the one hand, prepare for the assault on your senses that is cosmopolitan Taipei, with its sky-scraping 101 tower and 24 hour pace, but on the other you'll find yourself among rugged mountains and rolling plains, transported as if by time-machine to a peaceful, idyllic countryside. It is this countryside in which you should lose yourself, immersed in the history, and mystery, of the ancient temples, expe...rience both the richness of the culture and the traditional dishes on offer at local night markets. If romance is what you're after, head down to Xizi Bay in Kaohsiung, or take a beachside walk through Kending to watch a sunset of a thousand colours. Need some adventure in your life? Set yourself a challenge and hike Yushan, otherwise known as Mount Jade, Taiwain's highest peak, or if that's not your cup of chai, take a stroll through the tea plantations or Alishan national park, and have your breath taken away by the natural splendour of the island. 18.01.2022 Sammezzano Castle, Italy Less than 40 kilometres south of Central Florence, situated on the top of a hill, lies the extravagant, breath-taking castle of Sammezzano. Built in 1605 Sammezzano Castle is particularly notable for its 365 rooms, each with its own unique name and design. Notable rooms are the ‘Peacock Room’, full of colours and geometric shapes, and the ‘White Room’ with its mosaic floors and massive iron chandeliers. This castle in the Moorish style with a labyrint...hine array of corridors, vaults and domes, and hidden nooks and crannies that will elude all but the most intrepid explorers. To reach the castle, you’ll need to hike through one of the largest parklands in Tuscany, home to the biggest group of giant sequoias in Italy, many of them exceeding 35 metres in height. The Moorish theme is continued throughout the park nestled in the exotic foliage, you’ll find follies galore, from hidden caves to antique statues. Unfortunately the castle is currently closed to the public, however a not-for-profit committee can be contacted to arrange private visits and events. . . . . . #Italy #castle #travel #tourism #visa #traveller #travelling

14.01.2022 Last week, the Tanzanian government launched their electronic visa and residence permit system for nationals around the globe who wish to visit or live in Tanzania, in order to boost the industrial sector and promote tourism. Over the past 12 months we as a company have seen a marked increase in the number of nations willing to issue visas electronically. We consider this a positive move across the board, as it allows much easier access for genuine visitors to the country wh...ile simultaneously removing much of the bureaucracy. Tanzania is going through some exciting developmental changes as it heads towards its ‘Tanzania 2025 Vision’ which include the promotion of ‘peace stability and unity’ and ‘a strong, competitive economy’ and we consider this a promising step toward the achievement of those goals. Mr Crawford, Global MD of thevisamachine.com, said. The visa fees start from US$50 for a single entry tourist visa and up to US$250 for business visas. Processing time will be approximately 5 business days however since this is a new system, we urge applicants to advise well in advance of their trip, as we have previously witnessed delays in processing when new eVisa systems are rolled out. 07.01.2022 THE SEVEN SISTERS, MOSCOW The Seven Sisters of Moscow, also known as Stalinskye Vysotki (Stalin’s Skyscrapers), were built between 1947-1953. They combine Russian Baroque and Gothic architecture that makes them the most recognizable landmarks of Moscow. Initially, the idea was to create a city that had an entirely different feel from the pre-war style of the Comintern - Lenin’s Russia. In the words of Kruschev: I remember Stalin’s vision, he said We won the war foreigners ...will come to Moscow, walk around, and there are no skyscrapers. If they compare Moscow to capitalist cities, it’s a moral blow to us. As a result, Moscow has 7 incredible buildings that are a must-see for any visitor; 1.Moscow State University, Sparrow Hills 2.Hotel Ukraina Radisson Royal Hotel, Moscow 3.Ministry of Foreign Affairs 4.Hilton Moscow Leningradskaya Hotel 5.Kotelnicheskaya Embankment Building 6.Kudrinskaya Square Building 7.Red Gates Administrative Building There was supposed to be eighth sister that would have been second tallest, after the university building, but this idea was rejected as it might have over-shadowed the Kremlin. 06.01.2022 AVEIRO, PORTUGAL, When travelling to Portugal, make sure you add the little city of Aveiro to your bucket list! Based in a shallow coastal lagoon, its culture, history and dazzling hand-painted boats bring on a playful romanticism, reminiscent of Venice, but with a youthful, energetic buzz. Though founded in the mists of pre-history, Aveiro underwent a burst of economic growth in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, resulting in a spectacular city in which art-deco styling...s jostle for space with cathedrals from antiquity. Check out Costa Nova beach in particular, as the colourful houses, with their perfectly painted stripes, the rolling dunes, and a pleasant promenade. Once you’re done exploring the city, you’ll probably want to grab some refreshment. Portugal is famed for its seafood, and Aveiro doesn’t disappoint on this front. Just don’t forget the wine match! 05.01.2022 As of the 1st of January 2019, China plans to expand their existing 144 hour transit visa free period to the following 5 provinces - Xiamen, Shandong, Wuhan, Chengdu and Kunming. This addition builds on top of the already available provinces of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai, Liaoning, Shenyang and Dalian. This addition to the existing scheme is a smart move from the Chinese government - with an estimated 40 million visitors annually, they will be able to... boost tourism, trade and the general economy to areas that might have been overlooked by those otherwise limited to a brief stop in Beijing or Shanghai. said Mr Crawford Global MD of thevisamachine.com. The updated policy will only be made available to the 53 countries, such as Australia, New Zealand and the UK, who currently benefit from the 144 hour visa-free transit policy. 04.01.2022 GLACIER DU RHONE, SWITZERLAND Want to travel to a unique, and sadly temporary, destination? Check out Glacier du Rhone before it’s gone the immense glacier has retreated over 4,600 feet in the last 150 years, largely thanks to the effects of global warming and tourism, so won’t be around forever. From the outside, the glacier appears a dull grey colour, but step inside the man-made grottos, to experience the magic of this icy wonderland, as it sparkles an enchanted shade of... blue. Once you’re done, retreat up the road from some warming Swiss hot chocolate to take the edge off the chill! The glacier isn’t just home to its human tourists though furry little Marmots range the area. Head to Marmot’s Paradise, a short drive from the glacier, to get a good look at these adorable creatures with their whistling cry, which can be heard on most mountain hikes. If you see their burrows while out walking, be sure to steer clear, as they’ll be sent into hiding at the sight of you. Lie low, keep still, and you’ll likely see them poke their nose out of their hole and go in search of herbs and berries. Sounds like a trip you want to take? Let us help you with Schengen visa! 03.01.2022 VENICE, ITALY, Ah, Venice. Easily one of the most romantic, dazzling cities out there - it’s a popular destination for both love-struck couples on their honeymoon and awe-struck families taking a cultural vacation with the kids. Grand Canal is usually the first thing that comes to mind when picturing the city. Winding its way through the city centre, it not only functions as a watery road, but symbolises the glorious architectural feat that is the very city itself, and its cu...ltural heritage of maritime trade. The canal comes to an end by the incredible Palazzo Ducale and Basilica di San Marco, but there’s so much more to see! Just around the corner you’ll find churches at just about every turn, lined with priceless marbles and intricate Renaissance paintings by local artists Veronese and Tiepolo. If you’re a bit of a foodie (you really ought to be in Italy!), definitely try the fresh seafood that comprises Venetian cuisine. Grab yourself a feast and a bit of a bargain too - during happy hour when bars offer special Venetian tapas deals. Italians in general are well know for their slick, stylish fashion sense, and this is especially evident in Venice big sunglasses, bright dresses and platform shoes abound here, as they always have done. Peruse local artisan vendors for custom made shoes, hand-made purses, and a whole array of jewellery. Venetians have a history of being trend-setters and are showing no signs of giving this up!
