25.01.2022 LET’S RE-CONNECT! Face to face sessions are BACK! Doors open NEXT WEEK for past and existing clients. COVID safe practices for everyone’s benefit.... Doors open for NEW clients (face to face sessions) in mid June. Sessions will be booked quite spaced out to allow for distancing of clients, and cleaning in between appointments. So please call or message ASAP to book in, so we can build on some more good work together.

24.01.2022 I’ve made a case for finding JOY in the nooks and crannies of our lives because too often, we reserve jubilation for milestonesa wedding day, the birth of a child or a hard-won promotion, etc. When we think of joy as belonging only to big events, we sideline the many small pleasures strewn along the way. That is, your beliefs, attitudes and patterns of thinking.... I believe the first step towards building a new positive mindset, and achieving your personal goals... is to foster a feeling of POSITIVE EXPECTANCY. BELIEVE that it WILL happen. EXPECT that YOU will make it happen. And your mind will start noticing and setting up the conditions to MAKE IT happen! By actively working on your level of faith and confidence that you will achieve your goal, you will keep a strong positive focus. 13.01.2022 Imagine walking around every day carrying a backpack full of heavy rocks? Imagine the heaviness. The restriction. The soreness, weariness and fatigue that would bring about. You wouldn’t want to live that way, right? Yet most of us do this to ourselves. ... When we hold on to past hurts or perceived wrongs, it’s like we are carrying around an emotional backpack full of rocks. When we hold on to the past, we only weigh ourselves down. We restrict our lives, weigh down our joy and limit our potential... just by choosing to carry that emotional backpack. One of the best things about my work is helping people to unpack that heavy load. To release the rocks, and throw away the backpack completely. To release the past... and move on. 06.01.2022 We all know how our words to another person can affect them. Kind words can heal. Angry words can wound. Supportive words can strengthen. Words have power.... Some studies even show that PLANTS can be affected by the words spoken to them. (Bullied plants withered, praised plants thrived). We are quick to acknowledge how the tone and content of our words impact the people (and environment) around us. But what about the words you speak silently to YOURSELF? Are they helpful or hurtful? And what about the words you say ABOUT yourself TO others? Do they lift you up or drag you down? Imagine if you retrained your brain to speak as nice / encouraging to yourself as you do to others... what kind of an amazing shift would take place? I read a post on social media today about a life hack where you give one of your house plants YOUR name, so that when you water it, nurture it and talk to it (using your name), all the positive, nurturing words get absorbed into YOUR system too. Imagine that... Anne, you look healthy today Bob, let’s nourish you with a bit of water and sun Sue, aren’t you growing lovely Given my track record with house plants, this is not the best exercise for me . But the concept is sound. Train your mind and mouth to speak only supportive, kind and inspirational words to yourself... and your daily experience will shift in a powerful and positive way. 02.01.2022 3 WAYS TO FIND MAGIC THIS WEEK Roald Dahl was my FIRST absolutely favourite author. He had a way of weaving magic + pure potential into his stories that stirred something deep inside, made us look at our world through glittering eyes and inspired us to strive for the best in ourselves. This week as we gather for Christmas and end of year celebrations, it seems like the perfect time to remember how to bring some magic into our lives... To re-connect with that sense of aw...e, wonder + joy that we felt so easily as children. And it might be a lot easier to re-connect with that magic than you think... BE PRESENT There is a peace that comes from being in the here and now. All thoughts of past and future subside, and you can mindfully enjoy each moment as it rises and falls. Try some grounding or breathing exercises to bring your focus back to the present. And savour each moment. PRACTICE GRATITUDE There is a reason why gratitude has been proven to improve mental health and wellbeing. IT WORKS. If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that we can find good stuff to be thankful for even through the hardest of times. A kind word from a friend, hearing the laughter of your child, cuddling your favourite pet. That warm feeling you get when you think about how lucky you are to have what matters most to you. There is magic in cherishing the good stuff in your life... however big or small. DIVE INTO JOY Perhaps the most magical of all! Remember when you were little and what it was like to get excited about Christmas? Or school holidays? Or going to the beach? The excitement + anticipation that stirs in your belly and makes your heart happy. So often we lose our connection to joy as we grow up and grow serious. But the fastest way to magic is by diving into joy! Ask yourself what makes you happy? If it’s dancing, then put some music on and jump around. If it’s fishing, grab your rods and head out. If it’s reading, grab a good book and a quiet nook. If it’s connecting with friends, organise a spontaneous dinner somewhere lovely with your closest friends. We can choose to create magic every day. And it can go a long way to changing EVERYTHING for you.
