22.01.2022 It has been a hell of a year but there was filming that happened! Tune in this Saturday for the Vic & Tas ACS Awards from the comfort of your own couch.

18.01.2022 - Melbourne Stage 4 Restrictions Update - The Vision House is able to take bookings that fall during the current lock down dates in Victoria but only if the hirer fulfils requirements in regards to Permitted Work Premises as outlined on the DHHS website - dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus If your project fulfils the Permitted Work Premises requirement, please email us or call us to discuss it with a member of staff.... We are still taking hire requests for all future bookings for the rest of the year post lock down. If you have a project coming up after the proposed lock down dates and would like to get a quote, please email us and a member of staff will get back to you. Please be aware there will be a delay in getting back to you as we will be working remotely unless otherwise advised. Most importantly, make sure that you and your family are staying safe and following the directions set out during this trying time.

18.01.2022 Lovely bit of work by Matt Wood ACS for the launch of the new Creamsource Vortex8

16.01.2022 ACCREDITATION 2020 The ACS Accreditation Panel for 2020, comprising Chair Ernie Clark ACS, David Wakeley ACS, Ellery Ryan ACS, Dave Le May ACS, Carolyn Constant...ine ACS, Peter James ACS ASC, Susan Stitt ACS, Peter Curtis ACS, Kathy Chambers ACS and myself assessed this years 23 applications for Accreditation via Silvertrak's Media Room 3 over a two week period in October. This is the highest number of applications we have received and it was a huge but enjoyable task to review all their fantastic material. I am delighted to advise that 14 members have received their ACS Accreditation and with that the right to use the ACS letters after their name. This is a huge honour, one that is recognised not only Nationally, but globally. Cameron Barnett ACS Victoria 414 Cameron Bauer ACS Queensland 415 Kathryn Milliss ACS NSW 416 Kevin Hudson ACS NSW 417 John Brawley ACS NSW 418 Tom Bannigan ACS NSW 419 Alex Dufficy ACS NSW 420 Ron Ekkel ACS Victoria 421 Wade Muller ACS Queensland 422 Christian Fitzpatrick ACS Queensland 423 Bruno Kataoka ACS NSW 424 Mick McDermott ACS WA 425 Joshua Lamont ACS Tasmania 426 Boris Vymenets ACS NSW 427 Warmest congratulations to you all and many thanks to the Accreditation panel and also to Warwick Field ACS for his incredible support and management of the actual Accreditation upload process, and of course a huge thank you to Christian Christianson and the team at Silvertak. Ron Johanson OAM ACS 2020 ACCREDITATION PANEL CHAIR REPORT Wow, the panel this year had a Herculean task this year to assess 23 applications for ACS Accreditation. Due to COVID-19 it's the first time the Accreditation panel has not been "in the room" together and assessments were done by National Platinum Sponsor's Silvertrak Media Room 3 secure viewing platform. This had some advantages as we had 24/7 access to all the files for 2 weeks during October but one disadvantage was we didn't get the usual feedback of being in the room after each application was assessed. To maintain our secret ballot system we still adhered to not discussing or communicating about individual applicants and the panel emailed me their votes which I then entered into the master tally spreadsheet. The results were very conclusive with fourteen applicants achieving ACS Accreditation, this year there were no "line ball" applications but I can tell you quite a few were very close. The panel understand how desirable and important ACS accreditation is but in the end competent cinematography is not what they are looking for. A consistent standard of exceptional cinematography, in your field, is what is necessary. To achieve ACS Accreditation is indeed an honour and to miss out can be upsetting. If you missed out this year, please think about reapplying in the next couple of years as you may have only "just not got over the line" in 2020. I'd like to use this opportunity to thank all the Accreditation panel for all their time, expertise, dedication to the task and maintaining the standard. Ernie Clark ACS Chair of 2020 Accreditation Panel
