24.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who participated in our first Vitality Village workshop for your valuable time, incredible enthusiasm and wonderful input in helping us bring this project to life. One of the key takeaways from the day was the genuine interest in and support for the Vitality Village initiative. We're also excited to have developed three initial projects to kick start the Village. Look forward to sharing more very soon!



22.01.2022 What an amazing way to kick off Vitality Village! This week we officially launched Vitality Village and shared our vision with the community and the response has been overwhelming. And this is just the beginning! We've got a lot more work to do in 2020 to bring this vision to life, so we'll have much more to share with you very soon. 22.01.2022 121Care have been based on the Sunshine Coast providing disability support services for 30 years and counting. Outgrowing their current space and recognising their growth potential 121 Care were the first organisation to sign on to be a part of Vitality Village when we launched. 22.01.2022 This multi-million-dollar global research project involving USC: University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia has developed a new IT-based platform for monitoring and intervention that could slow or even reverse the progression of frailty among older adults. Research like this is revolutionary in helping older adults live in their homes longer. Vitality Village are working in partnership with USC and the Thompson Institute to innovate and bring about change in the in health and wellbeing space. #research #innovation

Ben outlines how emerging technologies will require us to confront what it means to be human and how innovation will drive Vitality Village and the future of health and wellbeing. Ben has spent more than a decade developing businesses, consulting on digital strategy and identifying market gaps and future trends. Hes founded and co-...founded many successful companies, including digital ventures studio Josephmark, motion design company BREEDER indigenous creative agency Gilimbaa and trending music platform We Are Hunted, which was acquired by Twitter in 2012. Hes become an influential figure within Australias creative and business communities, and his fearlessness in pushing the envelope has culminated in the truly entrepreneurial business that Josephmark is known for. Feda Adra is the CEO at ComLink and is highly regarded for her innovative and progressive approach to aged and community care. Feda is motivated by projects that enhance the wellbeing of people and that help find solutions to big issues impacting our communities. Feda is a respected, award winning leader with high level management excellence who successfully led her team in transforming the image and service delivery of ComLink.

03.01.2022 Research will be a key driving force of Vitality Village activities. To talk about the role of research at our launch event, we were thrilled to welcome Dr. Amanda Clacy. Dr Amanda Clacy is a post-doctoral research fellow at the Sunshine Coast Mind & Neuroscience - Thompson Institute (SCMN-TI) in Queensland. Amanda currently leads the Alliance for Suicide Prevention - Sunshine Coast, which is a community-based program focused on providing evidence-based training and support throughout the Sunshine Coast. In her work with the Alliance, Amanda takes a multi-disciplinary approach to suicide prevention, collaborating with a wide and varied network of people.
