25.01.2022 Together Not Alone The Voice Studio Newcastle gave the gift of music to the elderly in heightened isolation through livestream concerts direct to Maroba Aged Care Community. This also gave students both the opportunity to gain valuable performance experience and the fulfillment of enriching the lives of others. 16.01.2022 We are very excited to welcome Tahlia to our teaching team. This is truly a 'full circle' moment for TVS... and we couldn't be more proud! Tahlia studied voice with our studio director, Rachelle, from the age of 8 for 10 years! Another 10 years on (!!), they are thrilled to be now working together. Tahlia’s love for the performing arts began at a very young age.... She began her vocal and dance training at a local performing arts dance school at the age of 4. She soon joined the Newcastle Theatre community in Cinderella at Young People's Theatre as one of the dancing and singing mice. Tahlia began vocal training with Rachelle Schmidt Adnum at the age of 8. Over the subsequent 10 years, she completed up to grade 7 in AMEB Singing examinations and Grade 3 Musicianship/Theory examinations. In 2017, Tahlia graduated from Melbourne’s Film and Television Studio International full time program for film and television acting. Tahlia has travelled to the United States multiple times, expanding her skills in dancing, singing and acting. Notably, she was mentored by Katherine McPhee’s sister - Adriana McPhee - Vocal coach on American Idol. She also gained performance experience at Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knox Berry Farm CA, and Disney World Florida. She has also worked very closely with some of America’s leading casting directors for film and television. In addition to her voice and acting experience, Tahlia has completed up to grade 10 in the Glenn Wood Tap syllabus, as well as being trained in jazz and ballet. She has performed in many shows in Newcastle with Metropolitan Players Inc. and Pantseat Productions. She has also previously taught, vocal, drama, and dance at Ultimate Dance and Performing Arts. Tahlia is a well rounded, established performing artist and theatre arts advocate. Currently she is also a tutor in musical theatre, drama, tap and the Sing, Act Move program at Young People’s Theatre in Hamilton. See more

We believe that we cannot look to the US, and not see how this mirrors the racism, deaths in custody, and inequality happening on our own soil. TVS is committed to doing better. It is not enough to be silent on issues of racism, we want to be actively anti-racist. We believe that white Australians, ourselves included, have work ...to do. This class is especially designed to build our youngest students skills in voice, movement and performance. ... Classes are held in small groups of 3 to 4 students allowing for high quality lessons and individualised attention. Class benefits: Gain confidence in vocal technique, rhythm and music skills. Learn performance quality, storytelling and some movement skills. Build the focus and discipline through engaging activities Participate in a fun class in an encouraging environment. Make friends and work within an ensemble. Classes are held on a Saturday morning at the TVS Studios in Lambton and run for 45 minutes. Creative Kids Vouchers are accepted!

06.01.2022 TVS was so please to be able to hold our second private virtual concert for our friends at Maroba Aged Care Facility this afternoon. Right from the comfort of their own homes, some beautiful TVS singers shared their talents and joy of singing for our friends! COVID-19 has had a huge impact on our elders in the community and especially those in aged care. It has been a challenging and lonely time and we want to do our bit by performing for them to share in some joy! We love...d being able to share this very special moment with our friends at Maroba!
