09.01.2022 Why not create your own story and have something sentimental incorporated into your own one of a kind headpiece? To create her one of a kind bridal headpieces Jenepher often starts with reclaimed materials. She carefully selects bridal dresses in op-shops for their beautiful lace and fabrics. The starting point for this piece was a 1990s white wedding dress that featured lace flower motifs. After unpicking the dress, the motifs were separated and hand coloured. Beads were ind...ividually selected and then each one was hand stitched to the motifs. The bridal piece was then constructed and attached to a comb for ease of attachment. Using traditional millinery techniques, beautiful fabrics and many hours of labour, each piece created this way brings its own story.
