18.01.2022 I don’t know about you but I need to schedule self-care time. If I don’t, it just doesn’t happen. I end up taking care of everyone else’s needs and my cup depletes to the point my body gives me a giant slap in the face wake up call Who else has that?? Well one strategy that works for me is Self Care Sunday! Do something today to manage your self-care! Fill your cup back up a bit with some quality me time. Read a book, take a walk in nature, journal, exercise, paint, dance like no ones watching (they aren’t anyway as they are looking at their phones!), practice yoga, meditate, whatever it is that feeds your soul. Because you deserve to be taken care of too beautiful

12.01.2022 I've thoroughly enjoyed spending some time taking life more slowly over the school holidays. After a FCA session a few weeks ago with one of this year's up-and...-coming FNTPs my body was loud and clear in telling me that I needed a break! While I haven't been idle and certainly didn't get a nice trip away, I have taken plenty of time to just stay home, potter in the garden, spend time with the kids and not rush around. I feel so much better and ready to jump back into Term 4 next week (where has this year gone???). Please don't underestimate the power of rest - take some time over the long weekend to relax and rejuvenate - you won't regret it!

09.01.2022 A great way to reduce your sugar consumption is to decrease the amounts of sweetener in foods you already cook. You can easily decrease the amount of sweetener... in recipes - just decrease by a bit more each time you cook the recipe. Most recipes are fairly forgiving and you can decrease the sweetener by at least half without affecting the end product. This works especially well when decreasing the amount of sugar for kids - if you do it gradually, they will never know!
08.01.2022 Did you know you can boost your immune system in as little as 5-10minutes of your time a day without lifting a finger? Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it? It’s not. Spending time each day in an elevated emotional state of Joy, Love, Inspiration or Gratitude can improve your immune system significantly! So take a moment, shut your eyes and truly connect to at least one of these emotions for the next 5-10 minutes. Think about something that has brought you Joy, think about... someone you love or a time you felt truly loved, a time when you felt inspired, and now think of some moments in your life or things you are truly grateful for. Really connecting in with those emotions. It’s so simple. And practicing this technique regularly I promise will improve your life, and has been proven to improve your immune system too!
