22.01.2022 Why did you start a business? I did because I want to be fully me. With all my quirks. Sometimes that is scary, because I actually have to put myself out there, with all the insecurities that lurk deep down that maybe I am (still) not good enough.... But after 30 years of working life, being in huge corporate, running my own bricks&mortar small business and being a coach I now know - everyone else also only cooks with water. They are not magically better equipped to run a business. I went into business because I know I can make a difference to someone, bring more joy and love into someone's life. That, and wanting to make my own rules. That's why I started my business. What is your excuse?? Share in the comments with me :)

22.01.2022 Are you ok? Some days are better than others, for all of us. But please, please remember that you can always ask for help and support. In your business as well as in your personal life.... What you need to do is to ask. I know that can feel really scary, but it is not a sign of weakness or being a failure, on the contrary. Being able and willing to ask for help is a sign of deep understanding and strength. So - if you struggle, please ask for help. You do deserve it. 22.01.2022 Some days you feel crap. But you still want to do something to move your business and your life forward. My tip?... Look after yourself. Take whatever time you need. Because that means you will get better and be back to your usual self (with all your energy) quicker. Today I am taking my own advise. Because I am not very good on video with a migraine happening What do you do when you are sick ir feel like crap? Do you push through? Or take time out? What would your best friend advise you to do? 21.01.2022 Are you unsure about your gifts & skills? So often we don't seen our own gifts and skills because they are so normal to us, we think anyone knows this or is able to do it with ease because - we are not special, right? WRONG!!!... No 1 - you are absolutely unique and amazing! No 2 - just because you have spend years or decades to learn or practice something and it has become second nature for you because you love it so much doesn't mean that everyone else automatically has spend the same time and energy on this topic as you have. You DO know more than probably 95% of the population about your favorite thing! Take me as an example. I have spend the last 25 years to learn about wellness, nutrition, mindfulness, habits, the body and psychology. So I think everyone knows that stuff because it's so normal to me. On the other hand I have not the faintest idea about fishing and all the gorgeous fish that are in our ocean which is right at my doorstep. Give me a fishing rod and I have no idea whatsoever what to do - especially if actually a fish would be crazy enough to bite. For anyone out there that goes fishing (that's a felt 80% of all Australians) that might seem unbelievable, but because I was never immersed in it I don't have a clue. And anyone that has even just the basic idea about fishing could teach me loads. So - don't underestimate and undervalue (!) the knowledge, skills & gifts you have, just because they seem so "normal" to you. They are not. 21.01.2022 Today I had one of these "women-crap-days" because of you-know-what. I used to get mad at myself about that, about not being able to function the way I want, not having the energy and the drive that I want and just in general about being in pain. Today I looked after myself, took it slow, didn't do things that I had planned because they just didn't work well with me today.... I know that is a luxury, but I also know that I am worth it. That I deserve to be looked after by myself. That I am as important as everything or everyone else. So now I am still in pain (manageable, thanks to painkillers) but I am ok with myself and with how my day went. Not very productive but peaceful (at lest for most of the day ). How do you treat yourself on a crap day? And how does that work for you? Share in the comments

19.01.2022 To all you lovely people out there, wishing you very happy holidays, however and whatever yoz celebrate! Look after yourself, be kind to yourself and everyone around you. The world depends on all our kindness.

18.01.2022 Today life threw me a spanner in the works in the form of a lovely migraine. I could get really annoyed and still try to push through with everything I had planned for the day no matter what because that's what successful people do, right? Wrong. ... If your body tells you it is time to rest that is what you need to do. Rest. That can mean half an hour on the sofa or take the full day off to recover. Pushing through will only make it worth, at least that is my experience. So my act of self love today is to put the heat pack on my tense shoulders, take some pain killers (as they can help me to stop the migraine going all out of control) and resting on the sofa for as long as I need. Maybe even use the time for a short loving-kindness meditation. What do you do when your body isn't giving you the energy you wish you had or - even worse - keeps you from doing what you love? 10.01.2022 Happy November from me to you! Here in Australia that means we are in spring. Where are you and which season are you in right now?

09.01.2022 Feeling low in confidence? It "shows" in your voice when you are on a call or in person? Go into a "power stance". ... The way you hold yourself, your body posture, has a huge influence on how you feel, what your brain thinks about how confident you are and how you are perceived by others. And they don't even have to see you, there is a difference in your voice depending how your body posture is at the moment of speaking. So sit up straight (remember the old rule - puff your chest out, pull your tummy in) stand with your feet apart (a bit wider than hip-width); you can also do that for 2min before you have an important conversation - go into "wonder woman stance", feet apart, fists on your hips when you are sitting, don't "demurely" cross your feet over at your ankles or knees - take up as much space as you can (I recommend not to wear a short skirt with that ) How you hold your body has a huge impact how confident you feel and how you come across to others. Next time you watch a movie, check out the different postures of the actors and how "confident" or "strong" they come across with different ones. 08.01.2022 Are you a cereal or an egg person? Or neither? A good start into the day sets you up for a great day, right?... And I know that breakfast is really important - but I still skip it. Why? Because I am not a morning person and I am doing "intermittent fasting" where I only eat during an hr window of the day. And as I am not hungry first up I skip the traditional breakfast and have my first bite to eat around 11:30am. That way I can have my dinner around 7pm which works perfectly for me. 06.01.2022 What to do if my inner critic takes over? Most of us know that situation. Something has happened that was less than stellar and that opens the doors for our inner critic. The voice inside our head goes off like a rocket, criticizing everything and anything. What we say (or not), how we look, dress, feel. Anything is up for grabs. He is really out to get us down, just because something didn't go to (our) plan.... Yes, maybe we did make a mistake - or not. Either way that's no reason to tear ourselves in the ground. Would you treat your best friend that way when something goes wrong? You wouldn't, so let's find a why to treat yourself more like the awesome person you are! 1) Give your inner critic a name. Best something that makes you smile right away, because then you take him less serious. Maybe Baltazar? Horatio? Donald? Pick a name and image that makes you laugh, he has lost 50% of his power over you already. 2) Acknowledge him, don't ignore him. Even though his words are evil he has a good intention - to protect you from making the same mistake again, from being shamed in public, whatever it is he is berating you about. He wants to stop you from ever trying again and keep you safe. Noble idea, horrible execution. So thank Baltazar (or whatevery his name is) for his good intention and let him know that you are an amazing woman and you have it covered, thank you very much. 3) Don't follow his advice. Take a few calm deep breath, give it a thought and act like your best friend - explain to him and yourself why his advice is crap. You know it is, he is just an irate old man in panic mode, no help to be expected from him. So, whatever he says to do - don't do it. Take a break, take a few deep breath, whatever you need to internally turn away from him and towards your inner supporter. Take a moment and you will handle it. I know that this might not work first time round as you are so used to being bullied by your inner critic, but that's ok. Every time you hear him, label him as what he is, pull him out of the shadows of your subconscious into the light and his power over you will melt away like icecream in the sunshine :) So what is the name of your inner critic? 06.01.2022 Self-Love is key! That’s at least my opinion and that’s why I am focusing in my coaching on self-love. That includes so much more than just self-care. And being an engineer, wellness trainer, therapist, and coach my approach is very holistic, and science driven.... Sounds like a contradiction? It’s not. Because these days there is heaps of science out there that proves the positive impact things like mindfulness, meditation and self-care have on your physical and mental wellbeing. So don’t expect me to talk about spirits and angels, but working with me might still feel a bit out there for some of you even though I am very much down to earth and believe in facts and science. And personal responsibility What do you think is key in life? In being successful? In getting what you want and where you want to be? I would love to hear (or read) your thoughts!!

02.01.2022 So, how do you start the New Year? Do you take time to review? To plan? Or you just take it as it comes?... I have taken the time to actually sit down, review last year and make some plans for this year - personal as well as business. It's not something you just do the once and then forget about it (even though that is what happens to most of us), but it's ongoing throughout the year. Keep your dreams, goals and ideas front of mind, plan small steps into the direction of your goals and - step by step - you will get there. But the most important step is to get clear about where you want to go. Like when you book a trip. If you don't care where you end up, you don't need any planning. Just follow the road and wherever it takes you, you will be find. But even if you are not 100% fixed on one specific location (like "I want to go to Paris") you will do some planning if you are doing on your dream holiday. Like - beach or bush or city? - alone or with your partner / family / friends? - sun or snow? - party or relaxing? and so on. And the same counts for your life. You might not know 100% how it will look like when you get to your goal, but the better you plan, the clearer your dreams & goals, so more likely it is that you will end up somewhere that you will love. So, do you plan your life ahead? Do you write down (daily) your big goals so you always know if your decision today is getting you that tiny step towards or away from your dream life?
