These are great words to remember that if that does happen, it's a great opportunity to pause, reflect and rediscover ourselves. #thewholeyouaus #thewholeyoucommuity #covid19 #quarantine #lockdown #stayhome #wholefreshfood #wholefoodheroes #herbhighlights #foodasmedicine #quote #inspirationalquote

17.01.2022 Remember how low fat diets were king and all fat was evil and then it turned out that most of that research was funded by the sugar industry? No? Watch That Sugar Film by @thatsugarmovement and prepare to have your mind blown. Turns out, fat is good! Why? Plain and simple, we need it to function. But not all fats are created equal - we want to consume the monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats. But, how can you tell? They mainly come from vegetables, nuts, seeds and f...ish. They are liquid at room temperature, not solid. Some examples of monounsaturated fats: Olive oil Peanut Oil Canola Oil Sunflower Oil Avocados Most nuts Some examples of polyunsaturated fats: Salmon Mackerel Sardines Flaxseeds Corn Oil Canola Oil What are the bad fats? The answer is trans fats. These are a no-no. They are the by-product of hydrogenation (which is used to turn liquids to solids to prevent food from spoiling) and include hydrogenated vegetable oils. Trans fat is listed on nutrition panels, so make sure you check them when making a conscious choice. But what about saturated fats? Eat these in moderation, they are linked to an increase in bad LDL cholesterol. Saturated fats are typically found in solid form and include: Red meat Whole Milk Dairy Coconut Oil Remember, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated = good; trans = bad, saturated = eat in moderation. @exreme.slim #thewholeyouaus #thewholeyoucommunity #goodfats #healthfacts #healthtips #makehealthysimple #wholefastfood #comingsoon #funfoodfact #funfact #wholefoods #ladystartup

14.01.2022 FUN FACT The ugliest ones are always the best - the sweetest with the highest antioxidant levels! ADDITIONAL FUN FACT You know those gross chalky strings that you pull off the banana before eating it (or is that just us)? They are actually banana veins! They work like arteries, transporting nutrients through the banana as it develops. So maybe think twice before chucking them. ... @healthyy_remedy #thewholeyouaus #thewholeyoucommunity #wholefoodheroes #wholefastfood #comingsoon #funfoodfact #funfact #banana #wholefoods
