04.01.2022 Only If Youre Interested...this year I am loving ink like never before. I have been using a water based ink to colour all my illustrations...a little like watercolour. At times the Derwent pencils still come out to add details or colour sections of selected illustrations. If you look back at older posts on Thewildirishgypsy, you will find some of my work that I have shown in progress...these have usually been drawn with grey lead pencil first and then coloured, sometimes outlined in black pen. But most of my illustrations are done in pen straight up without grey lead first...thats how I truly love to create new ideas and designs.
