01.01.2022 BlackWrights Creators Program Highlight: AMY SOLE Amy is a proud Wiradjuri/Worimi person. A graduate of AFTT (Academy of Film, Theatre and Television) they are ...currently undertaking their playwriting Masters at VCA. Amy is a playwright, director, actor and producer. The co-founder of theatre company Puddle or Pond, Amy made their writing/directing debut last year with a Development of their work DOING, which premiered in the Bordello Room at KXT (Kings Cross Theatre) in June 2019, and also presented a debut reading of their new work Reveal as part of the KXT Step Up Festival. Amy is a passionate performer and creator, who is devoted to creating theatre that is inclusive to all and full of magic. Amy is a Writer in the BlackWrights Creators Program. Last week, Amy, along with the other program participants, attended their first of six Master Lab sessions with the dramaturgical mastermind Louise Gough. They will all be in an intensive writing mode over the next 5 weeks utilising the storytelling foundations taught over the 6 sessions. They are to learn the rules and dramaturgical language to break them, re-contextualise, decolonise and understand the world of storytelling from different perspectives. Exciting to see where they will be going over the next 5 weeks!
