25.01.2022 Well it has been a while hasn't it... First review in a long time Over the weekend I had the absolute pleasure of eating some amazing food from the Squealing P...ig Farm and their newly leased premises at the Norville Hotel with their brand new 4 door smoker built by Butler Fab in Toowoomba that was delivered on Friday They have been serving from out of the beer garden for a month or so now and extended their trading hours from doing lunch and dinner service on Saturday and Sunday to starting at 4am-9pm Thursday and Friday with Saturday and Sunday being 7am-9pm. They have a plethora of variety to choose from starting with their in house made pies with fillings like a smoked brisket and creamy camambert to a Char Sui pork belly.. they've done a double brisket burger that has some amazing melted cheese and the list goes on what they have in the cafe so hop on over and give them a like and see what's on for the day They have some amazing breakfast choices like the classic ham and cheese croissant with their own house smoked ham, the puncher croissant with pulled pork, egg and melted cheese, the house waffles which have whipped cream, bacon, maple syrup and seasonal berries. For the adults they have their special Drunken waffles which is like the house waffles but with a beautiful whiskey infused maple syrup Now onto the house breakfast It's toasted sour dough bread with mushrooms, blistered cherry tomatoes, brisket, eggs and hollandaise sauce... I like my hollandaise sauce nice and buttery and creamy where as the one used by the squealing pig has a bit more of that lemon tang too it..... BUT pairing the acidity of the tomatoes and the smokey protein of the brisket, the earthiness of the mushrooms and a creamy runny egg yolk is a match made in heaven, add a nice smoked sausage on the side and it's a breakfast fit for a king The ploughman's breakfast platter is essentially the same but it's a serving for 2 to share Lunch and dinner menu has a nice split pea and ham soup made from the bones of the ham used for the croissants Some delicious looking pulled pork nachos using their own made Texas style chilli and melted cheese Slow cooked lamb shanks with a onion and tomato sauce with their camambert garlic potatoes They have the traditional fall off the bone pork ribs that are smoked to perfection and saucy to boot Now onto the highlight of my weekends culinary adventures THE 1.2KG TOMAHAWK STEAK Cape grim beef, perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper, smoked in the pit, until a medium rare internal temp then char grilled over an open flame to get those nice sear marks Served on a huge wooden board pre cut to allow the beautiful chimichurri butter to melt into the grooves giving it an amazing creamy fresh herb undertone and a side of creamy camambert and garlic potatoes The table I was sitting at had a slight lean to it and I had to put a napkin on the table to catch the juices... The steak was tender, juicy, had a nice smoke ring to it and cooked to a perfect medium rare due to the reverse sear technique used by Jason on the 4 door monster I honestly can't fault anything they do Everything they do is with passion and drive to do their absolute best with the massive variety of proteins they have

The Norville has just been reopened by Grace and Jason from the squealing pig farm and for... anyone who knows, their food there is amazing and you won't find anything like it anywhere else in Toowoomba... They've just made a start on big things to come and I'm looking forward to what they have in store They have their liquor licence and today is the day they're having the tap beer installed I kick off from 1pm till 4pm but maybe longer if you're all wanting me to and staying for dinner aswell At the moment it is sitting only no standing or dancing allowed until covid is over but that doesn't mean you can't enjoy some AMAZING food, COLD beer on tap and request some of your favourite songs

Which is great and we are very appreciative of your support!!!! Opening hours: FROM 4am (beer garden cafe) THURSDAY & FRIDAY... Direct access to the cafe from the carpark at the back of the hotel. Fresh barista made coffee and our house baked brisket and camembert pies! We are introducing new menu items to the hot box very soon! Hotel Dining from 7am - 9pm Thursday - Sunday Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner! NEW MENU !!! Its SPRING time so that means the menu is getting revamped including a 450g TBONE for lunch with our signature garlic, creamy camembert potatoes, plus more! We will be adding table reservations for midweek bookings to our hotel webpage (www.hotelnorville.com) however WEEKEND bookings will still need to be done manually.
