18.01.2022 Bit of a flash looking vessel on the bay yesterday
16.01.2022 Bruny Island, a must see on your visit to Tasmania, take the car, hop on the ferry at Kettering, just a 30 minute drive south of Hobart. http://www.sealinkbrunyisland.com.au/ Bruny Island Neck is an isthmus of land connecting north and south Bruny Island.... Boardwalks and viewing platforms enable you to observe little penguins (the best viewing period is during the warmer months September to February). The penguins can be seen returning at dusk to their burrows in the sand dunes. The Reserve has an interpretation board and during peak viewing times there is a Parks and Wildlife interpretation guide present at dusk. Timber stairs lead from the dunes to the Neck lookout, offering amazing views. The Neck campground is just 20 metres from the beach and has several accessible, flat sites, car parking, picnic facilities and toilets. Holly Smith

02.01.2022 These gorgeous hand made wombats and their friends are produced by a local carer @puddles_co in support of injured and orphaned wildlife in Tasmania. Each Wombat is an individual and made with permission using a Funky Friends Factory pattern. Im delighted to have these available for purchase in the Studio and to support such a good cause. Caring for wildlife is voluntary activity in Tasmania and is not subsidised.
02.01.2022 "No one shall pass without the secret code" Wombat Spotting Tips (and the code word) Below : Michael Dyson Photography : Ronny Creek Boardwalk, Cradle... Mountain, Visit North West Tasmania : The common wombat (Vombatus ursinus) Cradle Mountain, Maria Island, Narawntapu and Mt William National Park's are all Tassie Wombat hotspots! Mornings and evenings are the best times to see these cute furry little lawnmowers. During very warm weather they will retreat to the cool of their burrow. Wombats produce cube-shaped poo!! A wombat can pass up to 100 cube-poops a night. They use piles of them to mark their territory. The cubed shape helps to stop it rolling away. Wombats are wild animals. Whilst they appear placid and are generally friendly they don't enjoy being patted, chased or disturbed from their natural grazing behaviour. Please respect their space and leave them to just be cute and happy. After all, nobody likes a cranky wombat! Code word: Grass (a wombats favourite thing)
