21.01.2022 If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. My prices are based on my skills, experience and qualifications. Not someone’s budget. Yours should be too... Harsh? Maybe. True? Absolutely. I had a potential client reach out recently asking for a quote to do a simple individual return. I’d met this person before, so felt I should quote even though it’s not the kind of work I typically do. I politely sent the quote over and was replied to with ‘I had this done by (insert franchise here) and it only cost me $77.’ I didn’t have the heart to tell him that (insert franchise here) actually offer a 6 week tax preparation course and allow their ‘graduates’ to prepare tax returns under the ‘supervision’ of a qualified accountant. There is more and more of these types of low cost practices popping up. Thats okay if that is what you are looking for. We’d actually rather get to know our clients instead of churning them out like a Chinese manufacturing company

Well - thats a lie, but it will still cost you $47 You see, every $47 intitial consult fee is directed 100% to @toowoomba_womens_collective a community organisation doing incredible things for women in need. 20.01.2022 I received a message yesterday from Lisa via Instagram. Not a client or a friend, but someone who had been following my business journey. How can you possibly run a successful business, have 4 kids and still manage to get time for you? I look at what you do, making it seem easy and feel like Im failing.... Lisa. You are NOT a failure. EVER. My heart absolutely broke into tiny little pieces. I never in a million years want anyone to feel less about themselves because what they perceive me to be. I wont lie. I do have a successful business, I do have 4 kids and I do make time for me. Its taken 14 years in the industry to get the formula right, but Ive designed my business to make that happen. Its far from easy. You do you and dont compare yourself to a stranger on social media.

Does disengaging with these types of people make you a terrible business woman? Absolutely not. It makes you smart. Dont waste time on those who dont respect you or what you do.
