24.01.2022 Hi, just wanted to say thanks to everyone for helping find a home for Angel the pig, looks like Tessa and her family from Lakes Entrance in Victoria are giving Angelo a new home, I just have to make the transport arrangements....I just got this wonderful message from Angelo's mum Toni.....awww some people are so sweeeet.... 22.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Angelo's was due to be picked up and delivered to his new home this Sunday 26th October, but his new owners can no longer commit to taking him....which leaves Angelo still in a small pen in Wollongong suburbia :-( I'm still able to pick him up from Wollongong this Sunday and take him to someone who is willing to take him on to a forever home. If this Sunday is too soon...contact me for arrangements.....Wollongong is 4 hours drive from my place....I'm not fussed ...which direction I have to go....I do have some limits...I can drive a further 8 hours to re-home him somewhere...as long as its not in QLD, SA, WA or NT. 18.01.2022 Hi Everyone, Just letting you know that I had my gorgeous boy Porky Pig put to sleep today at Wagga Wagga Universities Animal Hospital, after a number of tests, X-ray, Ultrasound, CT Scan...is it was the kindest thing to do. He was never sick a day in his life up until a week ago....he was 14 years old in a few months!!! Porky truly was a Wonder Pig ... Its hit me pretty hard, I'm not in a good head space right now, he was my animal soul mate, my pride and joy, my greatest achievement, my one in a life time pig.....but give me some time and I'll be in touch soon I'm putting together his tribute!! 18.01.2022 Hi Everyone, There is a beautiful pig in need of a forever home... please read his situation below.....his owner Belinda & I are both willing to try and assist in his transportation... Hi Georgia, I am looking to find a new forever home for Willis as I have to go over to England to nurse my mother who is Terminal. We currently live in Burrell Creek, between Wingham and Taree, NSW, 2429 (Taree is sutuated on the Mid North Coast of NSW)... Willis P Pig (Willith with a lisp to his friends) is 3.5 years old, desexed, very docile, loves to be sung too and cuddles. He is such a well behaved boy. Could sit before he got so large (more difficult now) and eats grapes, one at a time. Such a gentle boy. He has been raised around other farmyard critters, goats, sheep, pigs, turkeys, dogs, cats etc but his favourite 'friends' are horses who never wanted him around. Poor Willith. He has always been free range and never wondered off the property, I use a line of hot tape wherever I don't want him to go, mostly not even hot but he won't test it! Loves it when we all go for walks together. He is better behaved than my dog, comes when he is called and chats away, runs up to the car with excited welcome home, where's my treat grunts. Never shown any aggression but isn't fond of sharing his food - like all pigs I guess. He does have his tusks which I can cut when I sedate him to move. No idea how I'm gonna get him into a float but I'm sure you have better experiences than me. I hope you are able to help me find him a loving home and some new friends. Hi Everyone, a some time ago I posted some information about a little piggy called Angelo (photos below) there has been no response in regards to rescuing/rehoming him, sadly his time is running out, he's not in the best environment, small pen in a corner of a suburban backyard, pen is all muddy and doesn't get out as they are worried he may get out of the yard... they want a better life for him, he deserv...es it, more space, cleaner environment, some animal companions.... pressure is on as they are moving and have tried and tried all avenues to re-homing him but no luck, he's about 4 years old and de-sexed, he doesn't really have company either, so pleeeeeeease can anyone take on this poor little fellow?? He is located in the Wollongong area (South of Sydney) in New South Wales, his owners are prepared to assist in transport costs....Below is a copy of the e-mail sent to me: Hi Georgia my name is Toni, I'm contacting you in regards to my mini pig Angelo. I bought him from a breeder, Crystals Mini Pigs, in NSW in April 2010, we have grown to love him dearly and unfortunately it's with great regret that we need to have him re-homed. However we have no idea how to go about it and it's extremely important that we find him a caring new forever home that he will be safe and happy. We are worried he may land into the wrong hands and could possibly be consumed as food if we just hand him over to just anyone! I have a good friend who put me on to you and recommended you the best person to speak with over this matter as she said you would try and help me re-home my pig. I'm pretty desperate as I'm moving houses in the near future and I honestly feel its in his best interest to be placed on a property where he can live the life he deserves, as he has just grown too big and needs a large place to roam free & graze on grass etc.. I absolutely love him but feel a suburban back yard is not the right environment for a pig. I'm so lost in what to do and I'm in two very different minds as to whether I'm doing the right thing but I really don't feel I have a choice as I have to move and it's impossible to take him with me! I really wish he could go somewhere local so I could visit him but at this stage I really just need him re-homed! Thank you for your help and for your time. 04.01.2022 URGENT - URGENT - URGENT Can anyone help rescue or re-home this piggy? Time is running out, I think he has 2 or 3 weeks left. He is booked in to be de-sexed to make finding him a forever home easier and his owner is happy to assist with transportation costs & is happy to contribute to some $ towards his food to keep him going for a while..... Please read this piggy's very sad story and the wonderful hero who saved him....but now needs to find a home with love, kindness, resp...ect & friends....can you help?? ....The little pig was first living in a residential area where he was with two dogs & children/family, was then given to a farmer who abused him very badly, he was continually kicked, hit with sticks and chased with a motorbike when his leg was broken, he had to walk on the broken leg for approx a month until I found him & offered a large amount of money to buy him from them, from there I have helped him get his leg back to health and looked after him very well. Unfortunately I have little time left until I have met the deadline to find him a new home as the property I live on isn’t owned by me and I have been told by the owners he has to go due to him digging in the paddock and squeezing under fences if I cant find him a home he will be sadly shot by them. He loves to live outside and makes friends with the sheep, dogs and cows which he regularly visits each group. I will be willing to assist with the costs of him being de-sexed and extras.... 02.01.2022 Hi Everyone, I have another pig that needs to be re-homed Can anyone help out? This Piggy is located at Tarcutta in NSW... Tarcutta is know as "the half way town"...as its located half way between the major cities of Sydney & Melbourne. Her is some information and some photos..... Charlotte is a 2 year old piggy. She is de-sexed. Charlotte is very friendly and comes when called. She currently lives in a paddock with chickens & is good with dogs. We took her on as a 2 week old and now she needs more space than we can offer. She is affectionate and loves food and pats. She is good with everyone including kids however she is strong and may knock them over in her excitement for food or pats. She is quiet and is happy to laze around all day. Charlotte loves water and would like a water source big enough to splash in (she loves muddy puddles!)
