25.01.2022 For quite awhile had an issue with attaching a pencil to my big dividers. Tried the usual rushed job with masking tape and then a single screw to clamp it, better but far from satisfactory. Ended up with this, complicated somewhat and an easy make for the average woody

22.01.2022 Heres something I knocked up too help with the hollowing. Three LED 12volt with rare earth magnet to hold it onto the tool rest. Magnet from a old door catch, 12 volt power pack a left over from another job, and the LED's from Jaycar I was going buy Cindy Drozdas version till I realized I have most of the parts on hand. This does not detract from her great idea. In fact if you need one look up her website, I am pretty sure she will post to Australia.

14.01.2022 The evolution of the internal sander took a while. This model is pretty much towards the end of the process, probably made about a dozen. Now it has a swivelling head, the reach extending out of the handle, slightly smaller sanding head to give it more range across the different diameters of the hollow forms

14.01.2022 Sanding can be an issue especially small hollow vessels. I have had come up with my own ideas to effectively get around the problem. A dual skate board bearing set up handles the heat and speed just fine

13.01.2022 In the process of all that I do, there are times when I have to find a way to achieve what I have in my minds eye. This compass or dividers is no exception. I wanted more wrap around on the sweep as I laid out the spirals. As this gives a far more fluid look and feel too it.Also I needed accurate repeatability.

01.01.2022 A couple of small pots out some unknown timber marked one end orange Gidgee the other Blackwood looking more like Japanese Maple . Turned like Blackwood either way its pretty piece of wood, with the all important coffee in the back ground. The third one is Camphor just a bit of refinishing .
