15.01.2022 Big thank you to West Ward resident Mr Woodcock for making sure we have our pontoons!

14.01.2022 A Cockburn good news story that just happens to be related to me. I am one very proud Mum!

14.01.2022 I am seeing a new round of questions being asked about the Calleya bus route so here is my response as an East Ward Councillor. Back on the 12/4/2018 I moved the below motion. I have now put forward another motion for the August 2020 council meeting requesting Council seek an update from Mainroads. ... I have specifically asked for the location of potential bus stops as I know from past experience Mainroads do not consult they just dictate where the buses will be located, causing some residents great angst. Motion 12/4/18 That Council: 1. liaise with Main Roads Western Australia and the Public Transport Authority to secure a full access at the Ghostgum Avenue and Armadale Road intersection, which will provide the best outcome for the public transport operation within the estate; 2. seek feedback from the Treeby Residents Association on the proposed potential future bus routes presented within the Treeby Public Transport Strategy and an alternative alignment for bus services provided by the Public Transport Authority for the public transport operations within the estate; 3. write to all residents within the Calleya Estate seeking feedback on the proposed potential future bus routes presented within the Treeby Public Transport Strategy and the alternative alignment for bus services provided by the Public Transport Authority for the public transport operations within the estate; and 4. advise the Treeby Residents Association of the outcome. Reason Now more than ever our state government needs to be meeting the increasing demand for travel by encouraging the use of publicly transport. In order to get more people on buses and off roads bus routes need be easily accessible, direct and relevant to the needs of local residents. The provision of a high quality public transport system was an attractive selling point to Calleya Estate Residents and an expectation of surrounding Cockburn residents in order to decrease traffic congestion. 12.01.2022 While Acumen have been brazen enough to destroy the Glen Iris Golf Course, it should be noted they have a very long way to go before they receive approvals to develop housing.

12.01.2022 We need your help to make Calleya mobile coverage possible by putting your feedback in the following survey link. Thanks Yaz Mubarakai MLA for joining the fight although although a bit disappointed with the reference to blaming the Liberal party for a lack of coverage. #fakenews

12.01.2022 Thank you for speaking out and being so brave my dear friend, I know how hard this is for all your family. -I understand punishment and rehabilitation, but not a sentence to death- In each of the eight cases that Human Rights Watch investigated, the organisation alleges corrective services failed to adequately recognise or address the risk, provide sufficient and timely support and, in some cases, placed individuals in conditions amounting to solitary confinement that increased the likelihood of self-harm and suicide.

11.01.2022 This is still a draft and now open for more public comment!

11.01.2022 Another fantastic initiative of our city. Time to get wise ladies!

07.01.2022 Tragically this post contains images of a City of Cockburn lost Aboriginal beautiful little boy (pictured with my son holding the ice cream) in Grade 4, now both 19. He was lost to this world through tragic circumstances behind bars. This is the second post in just over 12 months Ive had to share about losing young people and families close to me and our community. When does it stop? This cannot continue, holding people to account is well over due. These lives matter ... Fran Logan MLA Mark McGowan Black Lives Matter The Movement for Black Lives #everyonematters
