23.01.2022 I learn something new from every client I work with. But working with Lucy really shifted my thinking in a number of profound ways. She's a proper ray of sunshine and helping her create this website was an absolute joy. (Creds to Lollipop Creative for the divine design.) At a time like this, when the world's gone a little mad, it's even more important for us to feel strong, calm and connected. Lucy can help with that. Check out her beautiful new website and get in touch.... White Feather Holistic

22.01.2022 "It Takes a Village" is a new group gifting site that lets you give meaningful support to friends doing it tough. So - when life gets a bit shit and you don't know how to help, here's where you go. (And THIS is why I love my job) https://www.facebook.com/yourvillage.au/

21.01.2022 While everyone is doing their yearly recap, announcing their biggest business wins, let’s remember that comparing yourself and your progress to others is an insidious path to travel. If your biggest achievement in 2019 was just getting through it, forget about the 'should haves' and tell yourself a better story. Accept where you are with self-compassion. Learning this has been my biggest win x

19.01.2022 Instead of making personal resolutions or writing out my biz goals and dreams, I started the year writing to Jean. I don't know Jean. But I know that she's 89 and moved from her home of 43 years to a nursing home last year. Her health is poor and she misses her garden which was her pride and joy. We all want to make the most of this year after the shit show of 2020. But instead of writing another list of things to do, why not write to someone lonely and vulnerable via The Le...tterbox Project? Small acts make a big impact and your efforts are bound to be treasured x https://www.facebook.com/connectedau

18.01.2022 Ambient sounds - do you listen to help you get in the zone? I discovered this app "A Soft Murmur" which lets you choose any combination of calming sound clips for your focusing pleasure. My fave is a satisfying mix of waves, rain and thunder, but you can choose fire, crickets, singing bowls, even 'coffee shop' for when you're craving the low-level hum and clanking crockery without the distractions of being in an *actual* coffee shop... (and without the coffee - which is surely a bit frustrating?) Check it out and see if it helps. https://asoftmurmur.com/

17.01.2022 Lockdown? Again? Give me strength - or rather - make me smile. Bravo to the big brands who chimed in with these Tweet treats. We could all do with some levity and apparently custard on our fish fingers...

16.01.2022 I love clubbing and I love house. Does that mean I'll love Clubhouse? (Or just too old for both? #50minus43daysandcounting)

16.01.2022 Well played Durex

14.01.2022 For Londoners suffering Storm Ciara, this Innocent drinks' post has to be their silver lining. Innocent have nailed their brand personality *so* hard, I'm just a little bit in love with them... (London buds, hope you're all okay!) Go read the comments - absolute gold!

12.01.2022 As a small business owner, it can be hard to know what to say or do at a time like this. If you're conflicted about the ethics of marketing yourself, fundraising, donating publically or discussing politics, this post by Kate Toon shares sensible thoughts on a sensitive issue. https://www.katetoon.com/how-your-business-should-behave-/

08.01.2022 If glowing testimonials makes you warm and fuzzy, should they be called Testimotionals? (Screenshot taken from a random website I just came across. Let's hope their craftsmanship is better than their spelling.)

07.01.2022 So I was in a live chat with this tech support guy at Elegant Themes (the makers of my Wordpress theme). I wrote, 'Wish me luck!' after reading his advice, now see his response below. I've been bingeing Friends all lockdown! Mayur, you won my heart with this gif The takeaway? Customer service is everything.

07.01.2022 So happy to have helped bring this website into the world for a warm, wise client and friend https://www.dyanostrow.com/ Fun fact: Five years ago, anxious, achey and agitated, I did Dyan's mindfulness meditation course. Meditation has been an essential part of my life ever since. ABSOLUTE game changer

06.01.2022 My husband is a book a week kind of guy. But despite the fact I'm *always* raving about them, he's never yet listened to a podcast . Now he's FINALLY agreed to pop his podcast cherry I have to make sure it's a corker. So I'm wondering, if you were initiating someone into this new land of listening pleasure, which pod series or episode would you recommend?

02.01.2022 Me, sitting (not-so) pretty in the midst of a content marketing mastermind sandwich learning all things strategy with the fabulous and inspiring @cherie_thedigitalpicnic @thedigitalpicnic @katetoon @clevercopywritingschool

02.01.2022 With every 'wellness advocate' and their mother spruiking Essential Oils these days, there's a very real danger of misuse (because there's 'actual' science going on here not just smelly woo woo shit). My client Simmi has worked with essential oils for over 30 years as a teacher, lecturer, examiner and *the* most amazing aromatherapy practitioner And as an industry veteran (and TV natural), #9Today called on her to share some insights. Simmi has supported me and many I k...now with bespoke blends for body and mind that take into account your concerns and - importantly - contraindications. If you're interested in getting a whiff of the right stuff from a wise and true EO professional, I urge you to go sniff her out. http://thearomatherapist.com.au/ https://www.facebook.com/simmireitberger/ See more

01.01.2022 Mind. Officially. Blown. I have conversational meanders in my head the whole darn day. Now I read that some people don't have an internal voice. WTAF?! (Thanks to @sharonchisholm for the share.) https://ryanandrewlangdon.wordpress.com//today-i-learned/
