21.01.2022 Highly recommend this book! So exciting!
21.01.2022 2021 is off with a bang for a Mission to Mars with 50 young stars in the ACT, and 100+ from across ANZ joining us online! The galactic federation is welcoming Earth with open arms thanks to their brilliant ideas on ways to create a habitable Mars colony, and use that thinking to improve life on Earth! And this colony is currently being developed even more on Minecraft. We’ll send out info via email soon... We couldn’t see these amazing humans in person all of last year. But today the energy and smiles on their faces was beaming! Can’t wait to go on many more space adventures with these bright young people this year
20.01.2022 Houston, is it time to launch yet?
19.01.2022 Reaching for the stars... with lasers from here on Earth!!
18.01.2022 Congrats Anna! Thank you for all that you do.
18.01.2022 Future astronauts, scientists and engineers, get keen for an awesome Jan 2021 space camp! Contact YMCA Canberra Space Squad for more info!
16.01.2022 Another fun day today! We mixed things up a bit today and learned about climate change, renewable energy, and Virtual Power Plants! We also learned a bit about all the silly things Manik has done, and surprised he’s still unscathed There is no Planet B. And we’ve got many challenges ahead of us that we need to meet head on to keep this beautiful pale blue dot of ours’ habitable.... And to quote one of Manik’s heroes’ Sam Power, it’s one thing to appreciate problems, but what matters more is what we can do to fix them Innovations like virtual power plants have a major role in helping us shape the world around us!
16.01.2022 Emily’s Wonder Lab is truly a wonder! Have you seen it yet? We love it!
16.01.2022 With about 100 amazing humans in Canberra, and about 100 from across ANZ and US, today we learnt about who we are in the grand universe with Dr. Katie Grasha! The universe is ginormous, and even the back years of our solar system is huge beyond imagination If the Sun was the size of a tennis ball, then the Ort cloud would spread till Melbourne, and Alpha Centauri would be out in WA... ... Katie showed the young stars the many journeys that stars can take in a lifetime, the secret sauce that leads to them forming in galaxies, and the magic that happens when astronomers ‘see’ galaxies in different types of spectra. Today was such a good reminder that science can be fun and funny, when taught by an amazing teacher like Katie!
15.01.2022 Four words immortalised, that have changed generations... I have a dream... How magical can words be!
15.01.2022 The Scientific American has for the first time in 175 years, backed a presidential candidate. This a big deal. Scientific journals don’t voice any views on politics, as a general rule. Now, in doing so they are backing informed decision making, and rejecting misinformation and ignorance.... We’re living on a tipping point in human history. If there was ever a time to take action, it is now.
14.01.2022 This is literally groundbreaking!
