19.01.2022 Sartorius a hip flexor that flows from your pelvis to your knee - it contributes to knee and groin pain. Along with a few other moves (and muscles ie. adductors, pectineus) in massaging this I’m helping with my clients acute knee pain. Knee pain is most usually caused from issues in the hips or thighs. Just goes to show how everything is connected - more than we think, and MUCH more than we can see.

08.01.2022 Trapezius muscle LONG POST AHEAD. This muscle is my favourite to massage. This guy is so busy, it holds your head stable, helps rotate and extend your neck, and helps rotate your scaps - no wonder it gets tired and sore. You know the old saying carry the weight of the world on your shoulders? Well it’s true, soooo many people carry tension in their traps. When we are busy we tense up to our ears, shorten our breath and sometimes grind our teeth. This means - 1. Traps get... tight, sometimes causing headaches, arm pain or numbness, and stiffness. 2. Shortened breath means muscles are deprived of oxygen. 3. Teeth grinding means tightening of the jaw, causing further stagnation in this area. So what can we do? When I release the traps, clients experience a huge relief from pain and gain better mobility. The other great thing you can do when stressed is... BREATH. Take a deep breath in and reset that moment, and your muscles. Lastly, STRETCH. Over the next few days I will show you some great stretches that provide instant relief to targeted areas.
