25.01.2022 It has been a busy week of back to back Private Behaviour Lessons, finishing off with this handsome boy, "Thurlow", who has been showing some resource guarding aggression. Too much freedom, and lack of consistent structure and boundaries can result in a range of different behaviour issues in our dogs, and can commonly be the cause of resource guarding. Guarding of resource can extend from food and toys, through to other objects, beds, couches and/or the owners themselves. The guarding behaviour then often becomes reinforced when the dog experiences that their aggression works, by keeping other people and or dogs away from the resource. Resource guarding can be a very serious issue, and should be something that you seek professional behaviour advice for.

23.01.2022 "Patch" has recently moved to Toooomba, and worked with a few different trainers in his previous locations for reactivity to other dogs and fear of people. Our job has been made a little easier, as he is already knows a lot of the foundational skills that we would have also taught him - so we spent some time revising and brushing up on these, as well as adding in some new steps to help build his confidence and change the way he percieves the world! We look forward to working more with you buddy

20.01.2022 Trainer Katrina has been a little preoccupied with family, getting ready for back to school over the past week. Some tears may have been shed, as her human baby enters his first year of highschool! But she is now looking forward to getting full swing back in to training for 2021. The past couple months have been spent furthering her dog training and behaviour studies, and redesigning and updating all our group classes and private training programs!... 2021 here we come!

16.01.2022 We caught up again today with 2 year old greyhound, Elphie, who shows us how to chill out with some PLACE training, after practicing her Drop and Drop-Stay, and some techniques to help her learn to Sit on Command. Elphie has been settling well with her new owner, after recently being adopted from GAP. We are also implementing some Independence Training with the help of her crate and the Place command, to help prevent any separation related anxiety.
