04.01.2022 MYTH #3 - The only cause of type 2 diabetes is obesity. David Fam has type 2 diabetes. I have always been healthy and slim, people tell me it cant be diabetes.... They think diabetes is only for fat guys, but I got type 2 when I was turning 50 and I have been managing it ever since. He is proud that at 74, and after 24 years with type 2, he can still say he has never been to a hospital for diabetes related complications. I visit the doctor twice a year to get my checks, he says.
