24.01.2022 We started something new... Lately I've discovered I LOVE writing. And while posting to Instagram and Facebook is fun, you are limited in how long and what you share. SO with our new website *almost* finished, we've decided to launch our Party Blog! 06.01.2022 We LOVE a classic hearty meal in winter. Our favorite winter party menu is simple, filled with classic options that will warm your guest from the inside out! What is your go to winter party food? our favorite winter party menu:... Start - pumpkin soup and chicken noodle soup served from slow cookers Main - roast meats, with potato bake, veggie bakes and crunchy bread Dessert sticky date pudding and apple crumble It can be a little trickier serving hot food as while you can prepare majority in advance it does need to be heated at the last minute. Sometimes getting a caterer in could be a great option so you can enjoy the celebration and not need to worry. Have a favorite winter party food, or a tip of serving food in winter? In our family, most birthdays are in the warmer months, however now living in the Adelaide Hills our cooler ‘winter’ months go for longer than where I grew up in the Riverland! To help you host a fun, WARM celebration we’ve put together some tips hosting a Winter Celebration. ... HAVE A BACKUP PLAN. The weather can quickly turn from bring a jacket to don’t forget an umbrella and gumboots. GIVE YOUR GUESTS A HEADS UP. Let your guests know in advance if you are planning a mostly outside celebration -> swipe to see how we would word this on an invitation <- TAKE THE PARTY INSIDE. Sometimes the safest option in winter is to simply plan from the start for the party to be inside. SERVE WARMING FOODS. Sure, a BBQ and salads are nice, but winter calls for hearty warm food!
