24.01.2022 Thank you Mayor Greg Milner and the City of South Perth for your support of our campaign and commitment to ACROD Parking.
22.01.2022 Thanks Town of Claremont for your partnership with our campaign! We love your work
21.01.2022 In the lead up to the campaign, we interviewed a range of ACROD Permit Holders. Just like their disabilities, their stories and insights into their parking experiences were all unique and equally essential. #ThisBayIsSomeonesDay Image: Quote: Imagine you have to climb over a wall to get out of bed. Then climb another wall to get into your car. Climb another wall to get out of your car. I’m exhausted before I even get there. If an ACROD Bay removes just one wall, my day is a little bit easier.
15.01.2022 Only a week to go until we launch our ACROD Parking campaign @ThisBayIsSomeonesDay, along with 25 local governments and multiple shopping centres across WA along with launch partner RAC. Our campaign highlights the impact thatparking in an ACROD bay without a permit can have on someone’s day. Let’s all do the right thing and make everyone’s day brighter! #OneWeekToGo #ThisBayIsSomeonesDay #ACRODParking #ACRODParkingProgram #NDS
14.01.2022 Today the TBISD team made our very first site visit with campaign partners Mandurah Forum. Whilst we have an exciting collaboration coming up which we can’t quite share (just yet!) we can say Mandurah Forum’s commitment to accessible parking is impressive. We look forward to working with Lance and the team at the Forum over the coming months. 14.01.2022 Who are the people behind ‘This Bay Is Someone’s Day’? Over the coming weeks we will share interviews and insights of the team who helped develop the campaign. Introducing Andrew Fairbairn, co-design member and project coordinator at Limbs 4 Life Australia. Tell us about yourself and why you’re drawn to ACROD Parking advocacy? 07.01.2022 Something big is unfolding! Thank you to the early followers of our campaign for ACROD Parking This Bay Is Someone’s Day is created in collaboration with ACROD permit holders, local government and private enterprise by the ACROD Parking Program at National Disability Services in WA. #ThisBayIsSomeonesDay #Inclusion #ACRODParking... 06.01.2022 Whilst wheelchair users make up a portion of the many ACROD permit holders who use ACROD bays; it’s clear that most need space to transfer in and out of their vehicle, assemble their equipment and safely navigate their way from the car park to where they’re going. Thanks City of Cockburn and Cockburn Gateway Shopping City for the great location and upkeep of accessible bays #ACRODfacts #ACRODParking #NDS #WesternAustralia #Perth #ThisBayIsSomeonesDay...
