24.01.2022 This is an absolutely stunning video of Brookleigh Estate and Sandalford Wines, taken by Grard Pictures. Brookleigh is one of my favourite venues in the Swan Valley and Im always chuffed when I get to go back there to deliver and set-up wedding cakes

23.01.2022 Helping Naomi and Ryan with planning their wedding cake, postponing their wedding cake, rescheduling their wedding cake should not have been anywhere near as enjoyable as it was in the craziness of COVID stresses and postponements. But it really was fun. A gorgeous couple to work with, a great fun cake to make, and the always lovely venue of Lamonts Bishops House... this was the perfect kick-start back into weddings The cake topper was created by the talented Cake Flour...ish Co. and the beautiful mirrored lettering was made by Creations for You. The top tier of the cake was chocolate cake with a filling of lush chocolate ganache and chocolate Swiss meringue buttercream, the bottom tier was vanilla bean cake with lemon curd filling and vanilla bean Swiss meringue buttercream. Decorations included handmade mini macarons, donuts, fresh florals and a little gold leaf. Also included were six gluten-free carrot cupcakes with cream cheese frosting for a GF family member. Nobody needs to miss out on cake! The, ahem, icing on the cake (sorry!) was this beautiful review left by Naomi... "Janelle is absolutely incredible, as a person and with the cakes she makes!! Janelles communication is impeccable, she responds so promptly and helps wherever she can! Guests were going back for seconds at our wedding and have been messaging us to say how delicious our cake was, it truly was phenomenal!! 22.01.2022 This pastel prettiness was for one of my most lovely repeat clients, Jade. I am usually away for a birthday jaunt at the same time that her sisters birthday falls but this year I was here and available to make a little sweet something to help brighten her sisters day. Lemon cake with lemon curd filling and raspberry cream cheese frosting, topped with profiteroles filled with raspberry cream cheese filling and vanilla bean creme patissiere with the profiteroles dipped in pa...stel shades of white chocolate. Mmmmmm, profiteroles.... delish! xx

02.01.2022 Ive said it before but I love making cakes for this family. Having made Amelias mum & dads wedding cake, her baby shower cake before she was born and her baptism cake (not to mention the other cakes made for this lovely family), it was an absolute honour to make little Amelias first birthday cake too. My version of the popular carousel cake in chocolate cake with choc/raspberry ganache filling. Happy birthday little A!!! xxx
