11.01.2022 I had a craving for cob loaf and had everything apart from the cob itself so picked up this sourdough cob from my local bakery and got cooking.... Safe to say our eyes were far bigger than our belly's that night! Recipe in comments

11.01.2022 Running a little low on dinner options tonight (grocery shopping day tomorrow) but I had this delicious looking lamb rack in the freezer so thawed it out today and about to put it in the oven with the remainder of the veggies coated in lemon pepper and garlic seasoning for dinner tonight. What's on the menu at your house?

09.01.2022 School lunches.... It's a big deal for me to send my kids to school with a full lunch box that they will actually eat, and that will fill them up. It's pretty rare these days for food to come home uneaten and I credit that mostly to the lunchboxes I bought them. Previously I would pack their food into smaller containers and so many times they wouldn't eat it all. These are the yumbox lunch boxes that are liquid tight so I can put baked beans in or dips etc and know they won't leak through to the other sections. I would love to see what other people pack for their kids lunches because it's the one thing I do so many times in a week and thinking of different things to pack can be difficult!

06.01.2022 Today's menu includes making dog food for the week! 4 weeks ago our Labrador and Border collie became parents to 7 of the cutest little fluff balls and they are just beginning to wean... So now with 7 extra mouths to feed on top of the 3 other dogs we have you can imagine my food bill is quite high so as I do I looked for ways to feed them a healthy diet without breaking the budget... this week I wanted to incorporate and disguise some dry food I had that my fussy dogs really... don't like so this is what I came up with for the week 1 kg kangaroo mince 1 kg turkey mince 1 carton of eggs 3 tablespoons tumeric (one of our dogs is old and has arthritis so this is mostly for her benefit but tumeric will benefit all the dogs) 2x beef hearts minced in food processor Aprox 8 cups of dry food soaked for a few min in hot water Aprox 4 cups white rice cooked I mixed all ingredients together and have portioned into sandwich bags, half have gone into the fridge for the next few days and the other half in the freezer for the second half of the week. I also have 1 kg of chicken necks in the fridge to serve with their meals mostly because they love them but also to add another element of 'crunch' into the food for their teeth. I normally add some left over Vegies from the week before but don't have any left overs this week. If you have any favourite recipes I would love to hear them! See more

02.01.2022 Hey everyone! I have found my cooking mojo again YAY!! I'd love to say by popular demand I'm back but the reality is I have a best friend who has spent the last 2 years chewing my ear off about making her pumpkin relish again and who recently shared this page to my personal FB account to remind me I actually love being in the kitchen. So thank you my favorite gal pal, you best be ready to resume taste testing duties. Just a small disclaimer for any likers of the page.... I ...am a mum of 3, a wife, I work at home for my husband's business and I am in NO way a chef that parts almost comical, I'd be a terrible chef just ask my husband how much I like taking orders from others in the kitchen...or life in general . I don't claim to cook a certain way to suit certain trends or lifestyles. What I share is real for my family, I don't live a perfectly healthy/natural lifestyle but my family loves the meals I place in front of them and that's where I get my motivation from. I wasn't blessed with the fortune of being taught to cook prior to leaving my parents home so becoming a homemaker (although I love it more than anything) was not something that came easily or naturally in the beginning. Soo If you have a helpful suggestion i'd love to hear it! Or if you have something you'd like to try but don't know how it would taste and want it tried out first hit me up I'll give it a go if you want to be a keyboard warrior and judge me then find a door and walk out of it because I don't care to hear it. Love to all C See more

02.01.2022 I had a mother's night with my preppie last night at school and we had to take a plate to share. I was strapped for time so whipped up a quick batch of mini quiches. They were delicious! How I made them in the comments
