We'll have games, great food and awesome hangs too look forward to!! Make sure to wear comfy clothes - trackies, hoodies, beanies, ugg boots!!! 25.01.2022 words by @kaitlinndeluca So many times I have caught myself struggling between what I want and what God wants. Its the human journey. We think we know whats best for us, only to be taken right back to the start, facing the same obstacle day in and day out. Its not necessarily that our way of doing something is wrong, but rather; God wants us to surrender our needs and desires to him, so that in due time, we can be truly blessed. You see, God does not withhold what we w...ant from us out of delight, but rather his purpose through making us wait is to simply show us his Lordship, and faithfulness. It makes us trust him and surrender. Without trust and surrender, we would simply be our own god and not need to depend on anything but ourselves. Gods purpose in making us wait for our blessings is to spring up a well of gratefulness in our hearts with what we have in this moment, rather than what we are hoping for in the future. Having our delight and need in Him takes our focus from our ambitions, to understanding that he is our Lord who WILL provide everything we need at the right time. Utterly surrendering and making God the upmost delight of your life is what life is all about. Through this, we can be content with who we are and what we have. The only key to this is surrender. Surrender you daily lives, your goals, your relationships and your ambitions to God, and through Gods faithfulness he will bestow blessings you cannot possibly fathom. See more

23.01.2022 Happy midweek LY + YA! Halfway to Friday This verse, 1 John 3:16, is a great verse to remind us of the sacrifice God made for us thousands of years ago. Through the death and resurrection of Jesus, God demonstrated what true love is- a sacrificial love. The dictionary describes sacrifice as the act of giving up something valued for the sake of other considerations. The verse goes on to talk about how, because of this, we now ought to do the same for others. This means look...ing out for one another and going out of your way for others. The Message Translation of this verse discusses how, by turning a cold shoulder instead of helping those in need, Gods love disappears. 22.01.2022 words by @cat.iengo Where is your confidence found? What is the source of your confidence? Is your confidence found in friends, money, achievements, image, popularity, clothes, etc? When we put our confidence in these things it will fail us. Possessions of the world will always end as stated in 2 Corin 4:18, For what is seen is temporary... Sometimes, if we know God, but dont put our confidence in Him and are let down by the world, we tend to blame God and ask Him Why... did you let this happen, if you truly loved me, why? as if it was His doing. But the truth is that, at times we forget to put our confidence in Him, hindering us from truly being satisfied. When faced with struggles, Be still and know that I am God... (Ps 4:10). It is He who has started a good work and will finish it. No matter what gets in our way, God will always be with you. He will be with you in the fire and will walk you through the valley of the shadow of death if we call upon His name and put our confidence in Him. Ecclesiastes says that God has put eternity in the hearts of mankind. We all have a God-given void in our hearts that will only be satisfied when our lives are completely submitted and surrendered to Him. See more

From waiting for someone to reply to my text, or even when I have to wait for my nail polish to dry, it is always a long and tedious feat. Ive always hated having to wait, and always wanted things then and there, and if not, I would get very frustrated.Though, through this verse it's become very clear to me that patience is vital in a relationship with God. The Bible tells us that Abraham received a promise from God that he would have a son and, 25 years of patience and waiting on God later, his promise was fulfilled. It is apparent through Abrahams story that being patient and waiting, allows us to fully experience everything God has planned for our life.

It isnt until we look back, reflect and ponder on all that has been overcome and the power that has made our faith so much stronger, that we actually realise He is right there with us walking through life by our side. Each day is a new day, and this means that each day you have come farther than you were ...the day before - victory is a process: an athlete trains to win the medal in the race. In the same sense, we are fighting the good fight to win the crown of life. In a devotion, based on Ecclesiastes 1:2, it mentioned that however pointless life might feel, God always gives you purpose. And this statement stresses the importance of how the Lord is your life. Nothing gives you more purpose than knowing where and to whom you belong to. We must not succumb to our desire of always needing to be satisfied and happy - life is not supposed to be a constant high. If that were the case, we would be Roberts: no brain, feelings or choices. God has given us the very nature of being human and intends us to be stretched and pressed so that we can be taught joy and peace in the midst of our storms because our identity is not based on our good times, life, problems or issues, but on Yaweh. True happiness, worth and meaning is found through our struggle because it makes us depend on our all-powerful and mighty God. In our obedience to let him rule our life and fight our battles, we stop walking through the the dry desert and start walking towards the promised land. See more
