24.01.2022 New post about a visit to Sarom's house is now on our website http://helpproject365.wordpress.com/

23.01.2022 just a couple of snaps from the sausage sizzles that Wellington Secondary College organised and donated to us.

23.01.2022 Phara graduated from the Project 365 scholarship program last year and has just tied the knot!!!!! She is living and working in Phnom Penh with her husband. Congratulations Phara xx

23.01.2022 These are some happy snaps from our visit to CHOICE back in the middle of 2012. We were handing our clothes that were donated by CHOICE Singapore

23.01.2022 Our website/blog is up and running - www.helpproject365.wordpress.com Check it out for more information on all things Project365. Subscribe if you would like to keep up to date with any news from the happenings in Cambodia. The girls are taking Kevin on trips back to their home land over the next couple of weeks so there should be some good pictures and stories coming out of that :)

22.01.2022 In our week here my cousin Emma and I have made two visits out to the Choice Centre. We have helped out on the water runs, visited the villages and distributed the donations we brought over from Australia. The last time I was here with my brother was 12 months ago and so much has changed! They have acquired a new property next door to the existing centre. They have six sewing machines upstairs and have ladies from the villages making school clothes for the children and handba...gs and t-shirts that hope to be sold over in Germany. Down stairs there is a salon where the girls from Project365 can work once their apprenticeships are complete in May. Emma had a hair cut from Phara - she did a pretty good job :) The centre continues to provide children with a meal before they are dropped off at the government school Monday- Friday by the choice bus. Additional classes such as English and computer skills are also taught at the centre outside the government school hours. The centre provides this service to over 100 children. They also provide medical check ups every two weeks and transport and payment of any large medical procedures. Filtered water is supplied to every family in the village twice a week. As they are squatting on government land they do not have access to town water and cannot build anything that resembles permanent occupancy therefore their water source is used for everything... cooking, cleaning, going to the toilet and drinking. At least now the villages have access to enough clean water to cook and drink water that is not contaminated. There is so much happening out here so many terrific programs they are running but the bottom line is that many lives have been saved by their efforts over the years. Simply incredible.

21.01.2022 Would like to say an ENORMOUS thank you to Sami Lewis for designing the logo :) I think it looks fab, don't you!?

18.01.2022 Well its been a big week in both Cambodia and Australia this week. Srey Ny began her university course TODAY!!!!! From all reports she was very excited last night - fingers crossed she is just as excited at the end of today! On a lower note; the girls had to say goodbye to Kevin as he departed for Thailand on Tuesday leaving the all female team in charge of the Cambodian site. In Australia, planning is now underway for the first fundraising event of the year - THE BIG BASH T...O RAISE CASH, March 3rd. On that note; we are currently seeking donations of goods or services to be used in the raffle or silent auction on the day. Any donations, big or small, are more than welcome so if you would like to donate please get in contact with me (Breanna Mann) asap. I think that's all from the team here at Project 365. Happy Friday to you all!

14.01.2022 On the third of March we held the first official fundraising event for Project 365. The day was a massive success raising over $3,200. Thank you to everyone who came down for the day, played hard in the sun and donated their hard earned coin :)

14.01.2022 Hey Everyone! I hope you had a fantastic Christmas! just wanted to touch base with everyone about where we are at. In regards to the fundraising, even though we are operating on a VERY low budget, cash flow is low at the moment as our first proper fundraising event is in the 3rd of March - BIG BASH TO RAISE CASH (charity cricket games). In the meantime we will be solely reliant on donations - We have received some one off donations over the past couple of weeks from Mel O'Ne...ill, Chantal H and my Nanna, again :) and we are fortunate enough to gain monthly commitments from Ron Broadbent, Marie Trewhella , Kayla Speedy and Ronda Tosev. Our aim is to gain monthly support to the total of $500 - that's only $10 from 50 people. This will enable us to support two young women through university in Phnom Penh and also allow for a more significant donation to CHOICE CAMBODIA who work with some of the country's poorest and most vulnerable families. So far we have $85 a month coming in from people in Australia. I have an Australian bank account set up for donations so there are no fees involved you can just simply set up a monthly direct debit for the year and never have to think about it again :) alternatively, if you would prefer to make larger one off donation of $120 (or more or less) as support for the year, that too is welcome, especially due to cash flow. If you would like to donate please message me on here on on my mobile and i will send you the bank account details. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. With your help great things can be achieved in 2013 through Project365. We have a REAL opportunity to make a major difference to the future of these two girls but only with your support can this be achieved. Thank you "To know that one life has breathed easier because you have lived. That is to succeed." - Emerson

11.01.2022 Post about my trip to Cambodia in October and summing up 2015. Happy reading :) https://helpproject365.wordpress.com/

10.01.2022 Welcome to PROJECT 365! we vow to not bombard your news feeds but do require your support. Your Like is much appreciated :)

10.01.2022 Last Tuesday my cousin Emma and I came to Cambodia to visit the girls living in the Project365 accommodation. They are all doing very well. Phara & Srey Py are studying at Open Arms beauty salon and Kimhong & Sarom are studying Medicine and Accounting at university, respectively. They all study languages as well so have very busy schedules during the week. It was Chinese New Year over the weekend so the girls went home to celebrate with their families. Srey Py also got marrie...d a few days before we arrived so it has been impossible to get a photo of them all together yet!! I will get one before I come home though. We took the girls to see a Khmer movie on Sunday night - although some of the jokes were lost in translation (literally some of the subtitles were missing), the cheesy acting meant we knew exactly what was happening. Here are some happy snaps, more to come :) See more

10.01.2022 Not sure if any of you caught the special on Phnom Penh last night on the ABC but I have put the link below. "WE WILL NOT BE MOVED" is a doco detailing the land disputes/evictions currently taking place in Cambodia. The jailing/release of the BK13 group and the shooting of the 14 year old girl all happened while Kevin and I were living in Phnom Penh - this is not old news, it is happening at present. Please watch this if you have an interest in PROJECT365 as the organisation ...we have chosen to fundraise for CHOICE works for 6 villages, just like these ones, that have been relocated to squat on government land and cannot have access to running water, electricity or sanitation as that kind of infrastructure will show signs of permanency. If you take nothing from it just acknowledge how lucky you are to live in Australia. http://www.abc.net.au//2012-1/we-will-not-be-moved/4395552

09.01.2022 Donations ready for Choice Cambodia :) Thank you to Eila Peacock, the Couchman, Cowley/Phippen & Taranto families xx

08.01.2022 These are some pictures of the three girls we are sponsoring through university and our Account/Office Manager. There are also some pictures of the buidling and classrooms.

08.01.2022 April 17 marked 40 years since the Khmer Rouge evacuation of Phnom Penh. 2 million Cambodian people perished in the years following. This is a touching article that remembers but one of the millions of untold stories from survivors of the regime. http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/7071852
