A bit about the PRIDE Exhibition. All over the world, people face inequality, discrimination and violence just because of who they love, how they dress and how they identify themselves. We all have the right to be treated equally, no matter our sexual orientation or gender identity. Despite recent wins for e...quality around the world, in many countries including Australia the right to express our sexuality is still being challenged. This project brought together young people from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and queer community plus all people of diverse sexuality and gender (LGBTIQ+). Through a series of workshops with artist Ashlee Laing, participants developed works in reflection of their experiences and expression of their identity.

If your 14 to 24 years and interested in planning gigs, events and programs for young people, this is the place for you! The Retro Youth Management Committee is made up of young people who wish to have a say, has a passion for community engagement, and want to get involved in what happens at Retro Lane Caf. ... Its a great place to meet others in your age group who are looking to make a difference. The committee is responsible for: - Planning the gig roster at Retro Lane Caf. - Brain storming ideas and help run holiday programs. - Addressing issues like youth mental health, unemployment, isolation and bullying. - Finding ways for young people to feel like an important part of Alburys culture. Weekly meetings occur on Thursdays at 4.00pm. Lots of hot chips and good food on offer! If this sounds like something you may be interested in, send us a message for an application form! 11.01.2022 This Christmas, the Retro Lane Café have teamed up with Tots2Teens Albury Wodonga, an Albury based registered charity organisation, who provide much needed support to not only babies, children and teens experiencing trauma, domestic violence, hardship and homelessness within our community, but also at risk and vulnerable expectant parents to be. We are asking for community donations to go to our Retro Christmas tree of gifts for children under the age of 8 years to be gifted ...to Tots2Teens. If you would like to contribute to our gifting tree please wrap your gift, specify girl, boy or unisex, suitable age and place under the tree here at Retro. The Retro Youth Management Committee will be gifting the community donations to Tots2Teens on Tuesday the 22nd of December in time for those in need to enjoy Christmas. We appreciate and thank anyone willing to donate a gift to this much needed community organisation. <3
