20.01.2022 At first I was confused when I first learnt about coming out of my head and into the body to feel my emotions and release trapped emotional baggage. For so long I had gone to GPs, counsellors, psychologists and tried things like affirmations and thinking positive thoughts to counteract them. Sure, it wasn't easy at first, and at times I felt confronted embarking on a truly deep and lasting healing experience.... But I've learnt that when I only deal with experiences using the mind the effects don't last long. When the emotional baggage/ trauma/ limiting beliefs seem to be gone they simply manifest themselves in other ways, creeping up and sneaking in, until fully resolved by the physical and spiritual body. We live in a society which exists from the neck-up. Where logic and reason has been the pinnacle of human existence since the 'enlightenment period' of the early 18th century. Ironic choice, enlightenment, this archaic thinking that is still seen by many Western countries as the gold standard for the human experience when it comes to mental and emotional wellbeing. In case you hadn't noticed: we are not split apart from the neck up in some cerebral informed AI- being fashion. We are an interconnected and mysterious web of emotions, body, soul and mind, each as important, and each as reliant on the other for flow in our wellbeing. #selfheal4real

20.01.2022 2021 is upon us. Happy New year to you all. I trust you survived the festive season in one piece I had a great break from my daily social media scrolling and responding which felt like the right way to tackle the start of this year. Especially after how much social media I absorbed last year with all the worldly going ons. ... Here I am, alive, well and ready to take on whatever this year chucks at us. 10.01.2022 A beautiful friend sent me this photo today... It prompted me to go outside and take a look for myself. What the photo doesn't show well is that the outer rim around the dark circle was actually rainbow coloured. ... Excited by this image, I then passed this photo onto another 3 amazing souls, who each also looked upto the sky, creating a moment for connection with each in a ripple effect fashion. The image itself reminded me that even when surrounded by darkness the light still shines brightly within us What does the image bring up for you today? #selfhealing #peelthoselayers
