This job was an exciting project where the brief centred around saving a sandstock brick boundary wall of an otherwise derelict and neglected property; and create a modern architectural expression surrounding it. 22.01.2022 Happy New Year to all our clients, builders and friends! A construction update of our project in Camperdown- This project involved preserving heritage sensitive sand stock brick walls and expressing the new additions in the form of metal clad extrusions and pop-outs. Were excited seeing this project unfold with its completion set for early March.

20.01.2022 Some progress shots of the Queens Park Courtyard House. Original fireplace and lounge room now an outdoor setting. Original 1850s sandstock wall as feature brick embedded is one of many heritage features retained in this modern, off form concrete, steel framed design.

20.01.2022 Some detail and internals of our Surrey House. The driver of the whole project was to reverse the use and flow of this residence. A redirection of the main stair enabled a beautiful flow through of light and clever planning. The integrity of the heritage buidling is preserved while the use of polished and raw materials add a modern and striking addition. Light fills the home and the materials provide warmth. Built by Hive Construction and mixed shots by Core Photography and ourselves.

11.01.2022 CLT and Recycled timber House: A house designed around a 14.5m reclaimed hardwood bridge beam and structure using Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT). All recycled/reclaimed timbers and photos thanks to Ironwood Australia.

11.01.2022 House for a Botanist is in the middle of construction with all plant formations and rear oasis created by the client. The lightweight cladding is topped with Archbar mesh where the plants can continue to thrive and grow throughout the construction process!

10.01.2022 Situated on a 78sqm site, this heritage listed terrace needed an intelligent solution where no space was wasted. The design features raw materials, with all spaces circulating around a central courtyard.
