11.01.2022 Please be advised our Norwood practice will now be closing at 12PM on Saturdays beginning on Saturday the 28th March 2020! We also request that patients now call ahead to schedule a time for collection of glasses & contact lenses, this will allow us to limit the amount of patients in the practice at any one time. The health and well being of our optometrists, support staff, and patients is still of the most paramount importance to us, and we are doing everything we possibly c...an to keep us all safe given these unprecedented events. 04.01.2022 Here at Thomas & Mackay Optometrists your health and well-being is of paramount importance to us. Considering the COVID-19 Pandemic, we would like to ensure our patients that we are implementing all possible and necessary precautions to ensure your health and safety is put first when you visit us. This includes (but is not limited to):... Ensuring all practitioners and support staff have sufficient access to hand sanitizers & hand-washing facilities. Disinfecting of all benches, waiting areas, spectacles, optometrical equipment, EFTPOS terminals, handrails, and doors. Screening all patients for signs and symptoms via phone call while booking appointments. We want to remind you that while we are open and will be practicing as regular during this time, we please ask that if you are feeling unwell, and have any cold/flu symptoms (high fever, sore throat, runny nose, body aches, etc.), have recently returned from overseas, or have possibly been in contact with someone who may have COVID-19, please contact us to reschedule your appointment and avoid coming into the practices. If you have glasses to collect and are currently unwell or practicing self-isolation, please contact us to organize alternative arrangements such as postage for collection. The health and safety of all our patients, practitioners, and support staff is always the highest priority.
