22.01.2022 OPERATIONS IN THIS CRITICAL TIME The state and federal governments are requesting of business to take care in this critical time of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Much of our business is online and via email and we are proposing to take measures to conform to the government intentions and to reduce the risk of the spread of the virus and protect our staff and all our clients. We propose the following actions for the process of certification and consulting; 1. Only essential ins...pections of building work will be carried out as per the Building approval. Inspections can be completed without other persons onsite to minimise contact. 2. Site meetings will only be attended when it is essential for the Certifier to attend. 3. No Meetings in our office will be conducted, if a meeting is required then another platform, such as skype, facetime or zoom can be used if required. 4. You can contact the office in normal working hours to discuss your project. 5. Admin and Building Certifiers are available by phone or email during normal business hours 9-5pm Monday-Thursday and Friday 9-12.30pm these hours will be unaffected. 6. We will contact specific clients if lapsing dates or critical expiry dates or responses from local government or QFES are impacted in the coming weeks. Please all stay safe and well, please practice social distancing, this may take some time, but if we all work together there is a solution for every situation, and we are happy to help. 20.01.2022 In an article published in the Gold Coast Bulletin covering further professional indemnity insurance fallout, Australian Institute of Building Surveyors vice-...president Wayne Liddy said the situation was absolutely tragic. This scenario should never have occurred. We have been warning governments about it for five years. Nothing has been done, governments arent even acknowledging it as a crisis. It is a tragedy for the 42 families of the employees at GMA and ultimately there is absolutely no consumer protection afforded to the certification on the buildings. 10.01.2022 Rachel started the Bloody Long Virtual Walk on the 1st August - walking 35 kms in 10 days for Mitochondrial Disease. Saturday she smashed out 12 kms walking from Palm Beach to Mermaid Beach SLSC, and Sunday was an easy peasy 2.5kms around the block. Thanks to all our valued clients who have donated to the cause!

05.01.2022 Rachel and her team the Rear Enders completed the 30k Coastrek walk last Friday. Thanks to all colleagues who supported her fundraising efforts, the team raised well over $2000 for the Fred Hollows Foundation. And Rachel is still alive :)
