09.01.2022 Twenty Twenty What a wild and crazy year, a year that I can only describe as beautiful chaos. Beautiful ... adjective 1. pleasing the senses or mind aesthetically. Chaos noun 1. complete disorder and confusion A year that for me brought so much pain and so much joy in one year. I remember saying to myself once ‘I’m fine as a wedding photographer , people will always get married so I’ll always have a job.’ And we’ll this year that was tested. Whilst this year I photographed a lot less than I usually would, I feel I finally found my groove and have for the first time in my wedding photography career been 100% happy with the work I’ve produced. I’ve felt the immense pain that few wedding photographers could sympathise with couples about in having to postpone or cancel your entire wedding and lose what some would consider a hope and dream. In that moment I’ve felt the most amount of loss I ever could have but also weirdly enough the most amount of security at the same time. Security in the love my beautiful wife and I share and security in the God which we place our hopes and dreams. My dearest Carleigh, This year I wasn’t able to give you your dream day and that was hard to go through together, in honesty this year will probably be one of our hardest (along with many other people) but I know that if we can pull through this year like we did, we can conquer anything. To 2020, thanks for coming, thanks for making us stronger, thanks for the heartbreak and the loss but you can leave now! To all my couples from this year, thank you for your support and love through this year and I hope you felt the same. For all my 2021 couples, let’s make some magic! Bring on 2021!
