19.01.2022 There's a story behind this flag pole A few weeks ago we had a visit from a lovely neighbour we hadn't yet met, asking if we would remove her flag pole from her garden. Her and her husband both served this beautiful country and proudly flown the flag in front of their house for many years. We assumed she just didn't want it anymore but then she told us this - ... Around Australia Day this year, her and her husband had driven past and noticed our flag by our mailbox being held up with a tent pole.. her husband made the comment that when he passes she should ask us if we'll have their flag pole to use. We feel honoured and priviledged to be asked to have it and today it stands tall once again only now with us. They gave us 2 genuine big Australian flags with it as well.
