07.01.2022 The hazards of being a jeweller. Sawblade went into end of finger a few days ago and broke off. Travis thought he'd pulled it all out but sore finger still this morning. Today he removed 8mm more that had gone through to the bone. Makes me squeamish just thinking about the extraction!!

05.01.2022 Travis handing over another cheque for $1100 to Scott Hart, captain of Braidwood Rural Bushfire- in thanks for all their tireless efforts during the entire bushfire period. Special thanks to Danny King and his crew. He knew we were heading into dire straights and without his help out of Braidwood I wouldn't be sitting here now in the house writing this message. We only started raising funds from sales from 9th January when the highway reopened till the 31st January. We think we might do this again next January to help out the other smaller rural fire stations in our area that receive less funding and need the extra help.

05.01.2022 Travis handing over the cheque for $1100 raised through sales in store during the January fires, to Paul Bott the captain of the Mongarlowe Rural Volunteer Bushfire Brigade who put in invaluable hours fighting the fires all throughout the Braidwood and surrounding areas. We are all so grateful for their fine efforts.

04.01.2022 Just arrived this gorgeous 18ct rose and white gold band set with our Argyle pink diamonds through the centre. Simple, elegant and easy to wear.

04.01.2022 Absolutely love this contemporary 18ct rose and white gold crossover ring. It holds an amazing 0.80ct of Fancy Light Pink Argyle diamonds and is comfortable to wear and stunning on the finger. These kinds of rings are impossible to replace with the Argyle diamond mine closing soon. There simply won't be enough material left.

04.01.2022 The design brief- to separate the two outer rings from the centre band and then combine into one that then fits against the remaining ring.

04.01.2022 With time on our hands, a work in progress. Restoring a cameo burnt in the NSW bush fires. Was completely covered in hard black residue and we didn't think we would be able to do anything however persistence pays off. Hopefully we will be able to remove as much black as possible so the piece can be worn again. Will keep you posted. I'm surprised the shell cameo survived at all.

02.01.2022 More new pieces. This ring and the matching earrings are set with Prasiolite which is the correct name for green quartz, although most companies call it green amethyst. It is a gorgeous soft watery green almost like a greenish aquamarine but not nearly as expensive . Diamonds in the band and on the earrings complete the pieces. Can be sold separately or as a set.

01.01.2022 Just arrived. Stunning blue sapphire from Montana USA. I only ever saw one 30 years ago when I was studying Gemmology. These are a rarity and the colour is between an Australian sapphire and a Ceylonese. Can't wait to design a special piece with this.
