10.01.2022 Whole Health Osteopathy and COVID-19. First things first - for now, I will absolutely be trading as usual. Ill be sure to inform anyone of any changes to hours.... Being very hands on, the treatment room is the first place to address in terms of health and safety. We have stepped up our current cleaning procedures to add in wiping over the tables, face piece and arm rest between clients with alcohol wipes, as well as our usual full table reset with professionally laundered linen. Where we would usually use a table cover for comfort, we have made the decision to forego this to allow for a deeper clean. Surfaces and equipment such as oil bottles, side tables, door handles and the desk in the Treatment Room will also be wiped over with Alcohol Wipes between Clients. We have always monitored Clients health in and around Treatments and have simply made our policy of Clients not coming in for a Treatment while unwell (or potentially unwell) more strict - we are asking for self monitoring from each person here as well. And, as always, we will continue to wash our own hands before and after each treatment with hot soapy water as per our long term protocols. Similar health and safety protocols will be applied to the wider clinic space in Eltham Health + Wellness to ensure peace of mind, as well as maintaining our already strict OHS standards. Finally, if you are feeling unwell, sniffly, coughing or have any of the known symptoms OR have been travelling recently OR have been in contact with anyone from the known hot spots please call first!! 06.01.2022 How Much Time in my Day do I Need to Dedicate to Rehab Exercises? Not as much as you think! In short, people are notoriously non-compliant when i...t comes to dedicating time to their rehab programs... I like to give people exercises and strength programs that can slot into their day. Things you can do while youre sitting at a red light, at your desk, or in the shower. Less is more. You dont have to do five different glute exercises to get bum activation happening. You CAN get your bum muscles switching on with regular bum cheek squeezes and hey, you can do that anywhere. Less is more because when its less, you will do it MORE! What I do is add simplified rehab techniques to your toolbox, and educate you as to why they will benefit you, so you spend less time with me, and more time doing things that you love, pain-free.
