15.01.2022 Congratulations to ThomsonAdsett architectural graduate Tidus Shing for his inspirational graduating project ‘Library of Importance’ which has just been internationally recognised by being named an Architecture MasterPrize 2020 winner. The project was previously awarded the Peter Corrigan Medal at the RMIT Architecture Awards for Excellence 2019. It is also nominated as the AIA Victorian Graduate Prize Entrant (winner to be announced in December). The concept of the project i...s based on architectural language and explores how we can learn through reading a building. The project depicts how Hong Kong’s cultural identity is embedded into the library by inscribing and coding its languages, symbols and culture. The project digs deep into the hidden layer of the city to retrieve buried ideas with faint traces through archaeology methods. #thomsonadsett #architecture #design #awards
