21.01.2022 When was the last time you checked in on Nanna or Grandad? The elderly are one of the vulnerable groups in our communities, and we need to take care of them.... The new guidelines state those over 70 years of age, or those over 60 years of age with existing health conditions should stay at home, in self-quarantine. This is your friendly reminder, to check in on your grandparents, elderly neighbours and elderly friends. FaceTime them if they have smart devices, offer to do their grocery shopping and drop it at the front door, schedule in weekly phone calls, and ask them if they are okay. We are in this together.

You can stay in touch with your loved ones, whether they are recovering in hospital, or at home, through phone, text, email, social media or video-chat. There are no visiting restrictions on FaceTime! Individual exceptions will be considered. Please contact the Nurse Unit Manager regarding your familys situation. 10.01.2022 Hey Queensland This weekend, new restrictions are coming into place that will enable you to travel within a 50km radius of your home for recreational purposes..., but its not time to be complacent. We need your help to ensure we dont undo all of progress we have made so far. If you go out this weekend, please make sure you are: Socially distancing at all times Practising good hygiene Only going out with your family or as an individual with one friend + Staying within a 50kms radius of your home If everyone continues to follow the current restrictions and we keep seeing less cases, further restrictions may be lifted. But, if we dont follow these measures, we may see more restrictions put in place to help keep Queenslanders safe.
