01.01.2022 In response to the rapidly changing status of the COVID-19 situation and in consideration of the health and safety of our residents and staff, we have made the difficult decision to impose restrictions to visits to all our facilities effective immediately. We must take all necessary actions to support our residents’ health and hygiene and act in a protective and preventative manner to help limit transmission. We are closely monitoring the local and global situation with Coron...avirus (COVID-19) and all advice provided by the Australian Government Department of Health and the Queensland Government Department of Health. If you are planning to visit your relatives or friends at our facilities, we kindly request, please do not visit. This is a precaution to create a barrier and not introduce or spreading of the COVID-19. We are establishing other forms of non-face-to-face communications to be made available allowing you to keep in contact and will advise further shortly. In the interim, if you wish to call and talk, please feel free to call our main numbers and we will endeavour to put you in contact. If you believe your visit is essential, we request you make contact before arriving. It is important to follow the infection control guidelines as directed by the facility staff. This may include wearing a disposable face mask and other sanitising procedures. Visitors exhibiting any signs or symptoms associated with the virus will be restricted from entering Avalon Village or Thornfield unless they have been checked and it is proven that they are not carrying Covid-19 virus.
