20.01.2022 Today we had a very special trial of our new B Inspired Holiday Karate School. The students trained from 9am-3pm and worked very hard, whilst having a lot of fun together. Aside from martial arts training the students practiced yoga + stretching with Tanya Sensei, listened to a beautiful violin performance by Lucy (a local Penno student), studied language (Japanese) with Tim Sensei, plus played and learnt the basics of chess. 14.01.2022 I first started training #karatedo at age 8, back in 1989, and I have simply never stopped from that point in time Karate-Do is simply a way of life, and both my parents created a long term plan for me, to become mentally stronger, fitter, faster and healthier. They used karate-Do as the vehicle to take me there. From very early on in the journey I can recall my Father telling me - Karate is our life now, nothing else is more important than your training, and we NEVER EVER... QUIT!! That’s the rule, and after the rest are all long gone you will still be there in the end. When I was really struggling to find my way as a young adult and I didn’t know what to do, my parents said - It’s simple Ray you are going to become a Karate instructor and you are going to win at it. So Mum & Dad put the money forward (yet again) and started paying the rent for me at the local Community Centres, as I had no students and no money. My very first 2 students were in fact Dad and Kell I can honestly and openly say that just about everything good and positive that has happened in my life was created by the vision, determination, discipline, sacrifice and love that both my Mum & Dad put into myself and my little brother. The rule my Father created has remained intact to this day, and now my Wife Tanya @tanyamorcomb and my son Sid The Kid, have simply joined in on the journey 2B Strong Reflecting on these old pictures I’m sharing makes me think more about my parents and family, more than anything else I have ever done or accomplished in karate.
