24.01.2022 This Kings skink made his way from the Canning River reserve in Huntingdale across the road to a residents house whos dogs had baled him up. They put their dogs inside and gave me a call. Luckily he didnt have any injuries and he could be released safely back closer to the river.

20.01.2022 This lady goes above and beyond for anyone who’s NOR. She runs around constantly helping reptiles and makes sure the injured or sick relocations receive immediate treatment. The easy part is catching the reptile, then there’s the part of making sure the animal isn’t sick or injured or has ticks that need removing, then finding a suitable release spot as close as possible to where it was found or ringing and running around to find care for the animal. https://www.facebook.com/104952940999386/posts/207334264094586/
18.01.2022 Snake season is winding down. With the cooler weather upon us, snakes go into brumation, this is similar to hibernation, they are still awake however they stop eating as their metabolism slows right down, they become lethargic and dont move around as much. Tiger snakes are well adapted to the cooler weather. Please remember that I relocate other wildlife and birds, if they are sick or injured I will ensure they get immediate care, treatment and rehabilitation. My services are free as I dont want any animals to suffer.
17.01.2022 An update on the 3 premature southwestern snake-necked turtles that were dug out of their nest by a predator and torn out of their shells. After digging deeper into the nest, another egg was also found which had quite a bit of its shell missing. They were taken to Darling Range Wildlife Shelter for ongoing treatment. Unfortunately 2 of the turtles didnt make it, the remaining turtle is thriving and has just been upgraded to a new tank. The unhatched turtle egg is still bei...ng incubated and is looking very healthy. This video just melts my heart. See more
17.01.2022 Our bobtail friends are also waking up from their winter brumation. Sadly bobtails usually come off second best to pets having a play with them. The bacteria from dog or cat bites usually causes a nasty infection which results in a slow and painful death if they arent treated immediately. Bites can also puncture their internal organs. Please seek vet assistance or drop them to a wildlife shelter or a relocator will follow up with assistance.

16.01.2022 Happy Eassssssssssster!
16.01.2022 This pretty little dugite was cruising the car park at Maddington Centro this afternoon and crawled into a car engine. We waited until the car owner had finished her shopping and returned to her car, she was quite surprised why people were hanging around her vehicle. I safely relocated him to nearby bush. Please be aware snakes can turn up where you least expect them.

16.01.2022 Now that we have some sunny days ahead 2 of my rehab bobtails got released today. I do get attached to my little friends, however they were born free and deserve to remain free, so nothing gives me more joy than to see them head off back to the bush where they belong. The first bobtail had early stages of bobtail flu, he was found in the middle of winter inactive at a home in Roleystone. After treatment and feeding him up, hes gained over 200g, now a nice healthy weight to r...eturn home. The second bobtail is a baby that had been attacked by ravens and sustained tail injuries. Theyve mended well after treatment and he was showing me his scare tactics when released which is an excellent trait to scare off predators. I hope these guys live long and healthy lives and find their forever partners to grow old with. Thank you so much Darling Range Wildlife Shelter WA for all your help and support with their rehabilitation.
15.01.2022 This big dugite (Pseudonaja affinis) was relocated from a yard in Harrisdale yesterday afternoon. This is a snap from the homeowners CCTV footage, luckily their dog was not bitten, a happy outcome for both animals.
15.01.2022 On Sunday I collected a Stimson python from Maddington that had escaped her enclosure and was found in the front yard of a concerned lady who knew it was a python and must be a pet due to her gentle nature. After flooding social media, the owner was found who lived 2 houses away. Once a pet snake is found off the licence owners property, DBCA must be notified as the snake is wildlife and then becomes the property of the crown. DBCA collected the python from me this morning and the owner was then able to collect his snake from DBCA wildlife officers. Hes owned the python for 11 years and was very excited to be reunited with her.
14.01.2022 This juvenile bobtail was found in Toodyay, he was very unwell with early stages of bobtail flu and extremely underweight. After 6 weeks of rehab he is now fully recovered and was returned back to Toodyay where he was found. Enjoy your freedom little one
13.01.2022 Another beautiful bobtail I had in care. Hillary from Hamilton Hill brought him to Darling Range Wildlife Shelter WA as he was suffering from bobtail flu. He was extremely sick and emaciated, his rehab was a lengthy one and it took a long time for him to start eating on his own. He had 2 vet visits and a lengthy treatment on antibiotics and nebulising. Hes now fighting fit and back in her backyard where he has been living with his mate for over 15 years. Im sure Hillary will be bumping into him from time to time and able to give me some updates.
12.01.2022 This adult dugite got himself caught up in some netting in an orchard in Bedfordale this afternoon. He struggled to begin with but I think he realised I was trying to help him out and remained perfectly still while I cut him free. The netting was embedded around his neck and face, he’s very lucky the owners spotted him when they did or it would’ve been certain death for this old boy. Luckily he had no injuries.
12.01.2022 Its a busy day for the reptiles. The sun is out and theyre coming out to warm up. This dugite was in a back yard garden bed in Canningvale. The owner had previously lost her beloved dog to a dugite and knew to put her pets inside and keep an eye on the snake from a safe distance. Hes gone back to the bush to enjoy the sunshine and to not disturb anyone else this summer.
12.01.2022 I’m down south til next Thursday so I’m unavailable for call outs however if you ring or message me I can put you in touch with another relocator
12.01.2022 This dugite was alerted to to the homeowners by their dog barking at it in Huntingdale this morning. Luckily they avoided contact and the snake fled to the garage.
11.01.2022 A winter relocation This little dugite (Pseudonaja affinis) was found in a backyard in Maddington this morning, hed found a nice piece of rolled up carpet to sleep the winter away until the gardener disturbed him. He was a bit startled to be woken from his sleep and was more keen on staying in my bag than being returned to the bush. The release is in the comments.
11.01.2022 My first tiger snake for the season My favourite snake to relocate This little guy was in between 2 backyard fences in Piara Waters enjoying the sunshine before I interrupted him. He was safely relocated back to the bush away from any danger to himself or to the residents.
10.01.2022 Today is the grand opening of the Python Palace! The first check in is Bob my back headed python, he chose the deluxe option including room service, cleaning and laundry. 2 more bookings will be arriving later in the week. The rooms still need back grounds and a few more additions and tweeks, but Bob doesnt seem to be complaining. Living the snake dream

09.01.2022 These are the two surviving turtles that we rescued in Thornlie in February near the Canning River. They had been dug up when they were eggs by a fox. One hatched and the second was incubated with half a shell for around 3 months, thank you so much to Darling Range Wildlife Shelter WA for rehabbing these beautiful turtles and nursing them back to health. Good luck guys https://www.facebook.com/600197670038414/posts/3173280366063452/
08.01.2022 This Southwestern snake-necked turtle (Oblong turtle) went on adventure across the road from his home and into a residents yard this afternoon in Canningvale. He was safely returned back to his pond.
08.01.2022 Hi everyone Staying home doesnt mean staying inside. Backyards and gardening will be great for our health. ... As we are all in our yards more, there is a higher opportunity to see things you have not noticed before. This includes wildlife... Thankfully some of us relocators are still happy and willing to come out. We will however have to abide by the new rules for yours and our safety. Please keep up the social distancing from the snake and the relocator. If I cant attend your call, I can usually find you a relocator who can. Please save my number 0422 995 774 incase you need it. The venomous guys seem safer for me to be hanging out with these days As always, if you see a snake: Keep your distance. Do not lose sight of it, if you feel safe to do so. Call a relocator! Do NOT try to kill it... This is when most people are bitten. These animals are just trying to live their lives. They are not out to get you. Stay safe everyone

07.01.2022 Today I was called to Armadale Golf Club to relocate a Tiger snake (Notechis scutatus). This beautiful snake had moved on from the office and burrowed under some grass and leaf litter by the time I arrived. He was an easy catch and released to a perfect spot down the road to spend the winter months. Thank you to the wonderful staff who continue to call a relocator and get all their scaly visitors relocated safely.

06.01.2022 These 2 juvenile bobtails went venturing from Crestwood Estate to a residents home in Cavalier Ct this afternoon. It’s the 3rd call out to their house, once the duo were contained in the box the family were happy to release back to the bushy area in Crestwood. Well done guys
05.01.2022 Thank you Daine for calling me yesterday afternoon and Janina for containing a fledgling (baby) Red tailed black cockatoo that was being attacked by ravens on the nature strip in Crestwood estate, Thornlie. I took him straight to Darling Range Wildlife Shelter WA for immediate care, the ravens had ripped out all his tail feathers and the cockatoo had numerous peck wounds. The cockatoos wounds were dressed and treated and he was given medication and will be transferred to Per...th Zoo today. All black cockatoos go to Perth Zoo vets for assessment, microchipping and treatment. He will then be transferred to Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre for rehabilitation and release as these birds are an endangered species. If you come across any injured, sick or misplaced wildlife please get it to a vet, a wildlife shelter or give me a call, Im a licensed rehabber for Darling Range Wildlife Shelter. My number is 0422 995 774. The quicker an animal gets into proper care the greater chance of survival it has. Thank you Crestwood residents for caring about our wildlife, this was a great team effort. Pic is for reference.
04.01.2022 These 2 bobtails wandered into a backyard in Huntingdale today. Thankully the owners put their Rottweiler inside straight away and gave me a call.

01.01.2022 Happy Halloween
01.01.2022 Today is World Snake Day It is up to us how we save our planet and how we react to reptiles like snakes who are important for our environment. Do not hate snakes, do not be scared of them. Please help to protect them.
01.01.2022 The reptile relocators are sharing the love this week, Tessa Esparon tagged our group for a call out for a snake inside a house in Beckenham today, I could get there first so had the pleasure of waking up this juvenile dugite just chilling under their lounge and he’d really out stayed his welcome. Thankfully the home owners remained calm and in this instance locked the cat out of the house and patiently waited a few hours for the snake to be removed.
