10.01.2022 That’s a wrap! This week the Hillside Cottage received a timely makeover. New kitchen, lick of paint, decorating and Mike’s art work is now on display too. It’s been a truly wonderful week of creation. We are thrilled to invite our guests to enjoy this warm and homely space in paradise!

06.01.2022 Went to the opening of the new Karri On Bar and tavern on Saturday.What a fabulous addition to Porongurup.All the locals,guests and visitors will get great WIlson's ale, good food and fun. Best thing to happen to this hamlet in 20 years.

05.01.2022 Recently we had some beautiful guests stay with us who were up for the challenge in climbing Bluff Knoll. To make their climb easier I loaned them a couple of my hand made walking sticks as pictured. They returned saying they could not have made it up and down the big mountain without the aid of these walking sticks and told me there were lots of comments about their uniqueness. They were so happy with the feel and quality of the walking sticks that they purchased them. As part of our experience at Thorn's Mountain Retreats we are offering our guests the opportunity to hire or purchase our hand made walking sticks through our workshop.

05.01.2022 Here is lovely little Ava. She is a keen hiker with her dad and they stayed in the Hillside Cottage. Being just 4 she needed a special walking stick: lightweight, with a handle and just the right length. I made her one just right for her and here she is with it. In future posts, I will share more about the unique experience we are creating for our guests.
