24.01.2022 Finally got to see the amazing #Sevendust live at Eaton's Hill last night. They were fantastic and well rehearsed performers, so tight and impactful. You know what was also amazing? The sound and light show. I was being the audio nerd I am and stood by the mixing desk. I got to shake the hand of both the sound engineer and the lighting guy and tell them how great the show was and to say thanks. They were both shocked and pleased to get some recognition. even just from ...some random in the crowd. Remember: there is an awesome amount of work that goes into one of these shows, from a lot of people. #huganaudioengineer

22.01.2022 More prog metal was had in the studio. Tracking drums for a project with Andrew Fitzeses. An 8 minute+ song with time signatures to melt the mind, but we got there in the end.

19.01.2022 Deep in editing and mixing. Also made me think about how many bands I like that are actually mixed by the same few mix engineers. Try it, find some of your favourite songs and look up who mixed/engineered/produced them. You may be surprised.

15.01.2022 This is one of things I love about helping performers do what they do. The crowd of about 1500 people at this gig on Saturday had a blast dancing, smiling and having a very good time. Made me a very happy soundie!

15.01.2022 Another great weekend was had in the studio with Down the Kings. The three songs are all finished up, with one at first mix stage and the other two ready for editing and mixing. As soon as the band are happy I will post some results!
