18.01.2022 Australia is home to over 300,000 species of non-marine invertebrates! Over 80% of these are endemic! Most of these species are not even formally described and very few have recovery strategies or any sort of conservation initiative! TSC will be making sure that our beautiful invertebrates get the attention they deserve. We will be undertaking a project in 2020 to monitor and protect Butterfly Community No.1 which supports over 20 native butterflies including the Large Ant-bl...ue (Acrodipsas brisbanensis cyrilus) and the Small Ant-blue (Acrodipsas myrmecophila) butterflies which are threatened with extinction. We will be working closely with RMIT, South West Goulburn Landcare, Friends of Mt Piper, Beam Mitchell Environment Group and Parks Victoria. This project is funded by the Australian Government, Department of Environment and Energy.
