21.01.2022 Another order finished Hand dyed, embossed and saddle stitched small leather tobacco pouch. Third one recently lol..... probably because I gave cigarettes in January!

19.01.2022 Interesting times.... Anyhow, I’ve started a painting in a series of Australian Landscapes in Acrylic. And with a student/mentoree starting soon i thought photos and notes on the progression might be interesting.... Let me know what you think, and feel free to ask questions etc. This painting is of East Woody Point, Northern Territory (thank you to Helen for the Photos) Step one. Tint some gesso with acrylic colour and mark in important lines/shapes, while getting a smoother, thicker finish on the canvas.

19.01.2022 Fixed up a jute rug replacing two of the circles and strengthening the joining stitches. Customer is happy that a bargain picked up at Bundy Tender Centre is all fixed up and ready for use at the fraction of the price of a new or second hand one!

18.01.2022 New sunglasses case, hand stitched leather. With pocket inside for glasses cloth and belt loop on back. I’m trying it out for a while to check on quality. What do you think? I’m finishing a personalised one with a different closure and will post it when finished....

14.01.2022 Step 7 nearly there

13.01.2022 Another commission finished..... and developed a new technique.... tattooing style! This leather doesn’t emboss and is hard to dye unless you cut the skin My own Hand drawn image. Sealed the dye and used a little metallic paint to lift the eyes and sealed again.... Leather big format sunglasses holder with belt slip and inner pocket. Stud rivets in belt slip. Hand stitched, saddle stitch and zig zag double needle straight edge. Im just about to deliver it to another happy customer.

04.01.2022 Restitch repair job, the stitching had broken in a few places on this old belts pen knife holster. Pulled out the old stitches and cleaned. Saddle stitch with waxed linen And then re conditioned...... should last quite a few more years now
