18.01.2022 Every Sunday from 9.00 til 3.00 PM. We choose a variety of activities according to the level of riders. Active riders become involved in trail rides, jumping and other sporting events carried out in a safe and responsible manner. Stable management (Horse husbandry) is also part of the basic plan.

17.01.2022 This picture shows the damage Zulu has done to the point of his frog. The insensitive frog has been torn away revealing the inner frog (sensitive frog) and created access for debris and infection. The following pictures show the dressing procedures

17.01.2022 The ground is wet after the rain, feet are soft, Zulu, while playing as horses do must have slipped on a sharp stone and sliced part of his frog off. It is nice and clean, well padded, he's not lame and I hope the new tissue will heal quickly. A few weeks perhaps.

17.01.2022 Newcomers to the horse industry seem to have a misunderstanding of some of the terminology used. There are many terms, however we can start with EQUUS. a Latin word for horse. From this we have. EQUITATION.. (horsemanship) art, practice of horsemanship, riding, handling of horses. EQUESTRIAN..relating to horses and horseriding...on horseback. EQUESTRIENNE.. rider or performer on horseback. Regardless of the discipline you like to participate in, if you are involved in horses, you ARE AN EQUESTRIAN. This involves campdrafting, Western pleasure, show jumping etc...DRESSAGE is a French word for schooling, deportment, training etc..a HACK is a well trained all-rounder who can do anything within it's and it's rider's capabilities. CALL ME ON 07 41 566 219. :-)

16.01.2022 The 'noughts and crosses' obstacle is ready, at 70cm is suitable for novice levels. The facilities are available for lessons and hire .

15.01.2022 Two of our cross country obstacles on the trail ride tracks, some are natural and some are woman made.

13.01.2022 Pepper, the new arrival is settling down well. She is the grey in the middle with two of the adgistments who are showing her around. Pepper could possibly be a cousin to TIFF and Lucas. She will be staying on soft ground until her hoof quality has improved with mineral supplements. She has a few issues with muscle knots. I feel confident she won't take long to regain her natural freedom of movement so typical of her breed.

12.01.2022 Please phone me on 07 41 566 219 and leave a message. I may not return missed phone numbers if there is no message. I do suffer radiation poisoning so I use computers usually with a five week break to recover. I look forward to meeting you all.

11.01.2022 A rain forest tunnel is part of the rides.

09.01.2022 Our latest addition, Pepper, is having a saddle fit. Her back pattern has been sent to a competent saddler with her saddle.

06.01.2022 First, place the hoof or an old shoe for size on a piece of inner tube. Cut as shown allowing extra space for dressing. Wrap and tape a padding around the pastern to avoid chafing from the dressing. The hoof has been Tubbed, scrubbed and medicated solution poured into the cavity. Then painted with Stockholm tar onto which a cover of cotton wool and lint has been added. Then on goes the nappy. Best hoof dressings ever! Been using them for many years. Place a plastic bag over all for waterproofing then put on your rubber innertube 'boot'. Fold the back tabs round to the front, then the sides and, finally the toe tab, then use good sticky tape to hold it in place. This may last for three days provided it is not stood on and remains on even surfaces.

06.01.2022 The 'bunker' is repaired and in place. At 90cm the course is set for a novice rider. These facilities are for hire on the property. Please call 07 41 566 219 please leave a message.
