20.01.2022 E X E R C I S E I’m a runner, I always have been. I have always loved the freedom I felt of throwing on my runners and taking off outside, the wind in my hair, fresh air in my lungs....a meditation of sorts ... Of course we all know the incredible benefits of a consistent and balanced exercise regime, both for general health/wellbeing, and potentially for those of us navigating a health concern or condition. Falling into the latter of those two categories I have had to adapt my running styles of late, from a once swiftly paced stride to what I affectionately call my Cliffy Young shuffle . Of particular consideration being my focus on striking that balance of doing enough to receive the benefits of my efforts, but not overexerting myself putting my body under further duress. As a big part of my health protocol, I have personally witnessed the great benefits this low impact routine has had on my present health condition, with two main areas being my personal focus. My immune system and my mental health. There has been much deliberation and research over the years of the relationship between exercise and the immune system. Of particular concern was the possibility of the overexertion of exercise and the potentially negative impact it may have on the immune system, however current research still supports the benefits of a low/medium impact exercise regime on immune health. Which brings me to my other focus....exercise and mental health. Of course most of us recognise we feel good after exercising, for many varied and logical reasons, but did you know that when we exercise the body actually produces the ‘feel good’ hormones endorphins, serotonin and dopamine, not to mention aids in the reduction of the stress hormone cortisol? Now that’s something to smile about. And did you know that not only do these hormones aid in supporting healthy mental health, but additionally residing in these ‘happy’ states in turn supports a healthy immune system? S N A P! It’s a win win As always, I highly advise before embarking on a new health regime or physical exercise program that you consult an expert in the health/fitness industry, AND most importantly your consulting health practitioner. Happy exercising.... With love

20.01.2022 M E D I C A L C A N N A B I S That got your attention, didn’t it! A few days ago I posted a picture of some of the supplements I have introduced into my ‘home care’ wellness routine. One of these supplements is Cannabis oil. ... When I was first diagnosed I added this oil into my nightly ritual for a few reasons, namely pain relief, sleep support and, the one I was most hopeful for , tumour reduction. This addition to my wellness protocol came off the back of much personal research, and I’m happy to report, from the advice of several of my advising health practitioners (both conventional and non-conventional). I took the oil in the evenings only, and for what I knew would be a ‘test’ period, to see if I had any results or relief. After a period of months I did however decide to temporarily halt my intake. It became clear that the oil wasn’t necessarily aiding in the shrinkage of my tumours, but what I definitely concluded from my ‘trial’ period was that I did receive support in a few other areas I was monitoring, namely sleep, appetite stimulation and pain relief. For these reasons I would have no hesitation in returning to taking the oil if/when my body again requires this medical support. I’m not advocating that everyone should necessarily take cannabis for medical support, however when navigating a chronic health condition I do believe that sleep, nutritional intake and pain relief be of the utmost importance. I should highlight here that cannabis has been heavily researched, administered and in turn has offered amazing results in so many acute and chronic health conditions, cancer support being the only area I have personally researched or experienced. How cannabis supports illness or wellbeing is quite a complex and controversial topic, and there is often much confusion around whether oil intake should be exclusively CBD (Cannabinol) or a combination of CBD and the psychoactive property THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol). The video below is a very brief but succinct explanation on the Endocannabinoid System, and why/how this multi faceted plant may offer such extraordinary benefits and results when addressing wellbeing, imbalance and chronic illness. With much love

20.01.2022 Perhaps through a radical change of perspective we may come to recognise that our focus be somewhat less on how to heal our ‘dis-ease’, and more so on why our ‘dis-ease’ may be presenting in order to heal usbody, mind and spirt. 20.01.2022 Perhaps it’s not always about adopting a ‘silver lining’ attitude when things are difficult or falling apart, although of course this perspective may often be helpful. Perhaps it’s also about creating a space to hold the difficulties in presence, without being in complete resistance or needing to change anything, adapting the perception that perhaps ‘this moment’ of difficulty may be potentially paving the way for a better way of being. With much love

20.01.2022 It has often been stated, when we break it all down, there is truly only two modes of operating in this world....out of fear, or out of love. Fear divides. Love connects. I resonate so very deeply with this statement.....the ultimate question always being, which one will you choose?... Watch this space..... www.threebreaths.com.au

11.01.2022 M E D I T A T I O N For more than 25 years I have been a meditator. Initially I was not really all that focused on the theory or probably even the outcome, as if I’m truly honest, at that stage of my life I was doing it more out of a sense of connection and belonging, ‘practicing’ in a group environment. ... As the years progressed I sporadically took part in somewhat of a more focused commitment, particularly in those more confronting times of when the ‘rubber hit the road’. However, as life unfolded, and cancer became a more recurrent visitor in my life, my practice really took on a whole other dimension, finally culminating in my commitment to formally studying this ancient (and often life changing) wisdom. As is widely understood, meditation may offer a direct connection to that often sought after state of stress relief and relaxation. This has definitely become the more embraced societal understanding, specifically in more recent years. And then of course there is the less often practiced by the general community, or understood, of the benefits of a more contemplative meditation practice, for those seeking a deeper spiritual connection or elevated state of conscious awareness. For me personally, although somewhat invested in the relaxation benefits, my latter years definitely became more focused on the more psychological/spiritual practices of presence, connection, healing and consciousness. However, as this focus took place, I also began to research, being clarified even further through my study/training, the incredible physiological benefits of a meditation practice. Did you know that meditation has the capability of supporting and even healing aspects of our physical body, more specifically through our somatic nervous system, autonomic nervous system, limbic system and endocrine system? This not only potentially helps us physically, and in turn emotionally, but goes a long way towards supporting those navigating acute and chronic health concerns and conditions (Think immune support yet again ). So here it is, with now understanding that meditation can additionally offer support to our physiology, that we once again come back to the holistic nature of this remarkable practice...... Supporting integratively the ‘whole’....physically, emotionally and spiritually. Happy meditating.... With love

09.01.2022 L A U G H T E R Sometimes ya just gotta laugh! I have many layers to my personality. There is the deep, emotional/spiritual and contemplative aspect AND the light, energetic and animated, driven and super positive facet. Plus all the colours of the rainbow in between ... Like all people, I am multidimensional, however as those that know me will attest to, I absolutely LOVE to have fun and I LOVE to laugh! We all know how amazing it feels when we really let ourselves ‘go’ and surrender to that all encompassing, tear streaming, body enveloping uncontrollable laugh! So great, isn’t it! Of course, we are also quite familiar with how this emotional expression serves us psychologically and mentally. Laughter enhances bonding and connection (with self and others), offers stress reduction, increases energy and mental clarity, counter balances difficult emotions, helps shift difficult moods and negative perspectives, and of course, increases feelings of joy! But did you know laughter is literally healing for the physical body also? Laughter lowers stress hormones, increases ‘happy hormones’, relaxes muscles, aids in decreasing physical pain, helps prevent heart disease and, my old favourite, increases the immune system! So get your laugh on peeps, not only is it clearly great for your body, mind and spirit but is also completely contagious. Yay....something we are all happy to ‘catch’ With much love (and laughter)

09.01.2022 Morning Meditation/Reflection In times of turmoil, it’s easy to forget the power of just stopping to appreciate the beauty of what is available to us in ‘this moment’. 09.01.2022 H E A L I N G Healing is such a subjective term, what may be deemed as ‘healing’ for one, may not necessarily offer the same experience or meaning for another. Some may believe, given I have been offered a terminal prognosis, that my navigation towards ‘healing’ may seem somewhat unrealistic, perhaps even naive to a point.... It is for this exact reason that this eloquent and simple statement resonated so deeply with me. Yes, it is true that I potentially may not find a cancer cure, however that doesn’t mean that healing is not possible. Of course my unwavering optimism remains eternally focused on the potential of finding a cure for my physical illness, but what I have now become equally focused on is the extraordinary healing that I am blessed to say has already taken place...to my mind, to my heart and to my soul. With much love always

08.01.2022 Such a beautiful and simple practice for promoting clear insight, deep connection and profound compassion Thank you Pema. With love ... There's a practice I like called "Just like me". You go to a public place and sit there and look around. Traffic jams are very good for this. You zero in on one person and say to yourself things such as "just like me, this person doesn't want to feel uncomfortable. Just like me, this person loses it sometimes. Just like me, this person doesn't want to be disliked. Just like me, this person wants to have friends and intimacy". "We can't presume to know exactly what someone else is feeling and thinking but still we do know a lot about each other. We know that people want to be cared about and don't want to be hated. We know that most of us are hard on ourselves, that we often get emotionally triggered, but that we want to be of help in some way. We know that, at the most basic level, every living being desires happiness and doesn't want to suffer." From her new book Welcoming the Unwelcome https://pemachodronfoundation.org//welcoming-the-unwelcom/

07.01.2022 Vitamin C (with glutathione) Intravenous Therapy Each week (usually twice per week) I visit my ‘other’ family at Wellmed Clinic in Caulfield, Melbourne. www.wellmed.com.au... Most of us are aware of the basic benefits of taking an oral Vitamin C supplement, but when intravenously directed into the blood stream the vitamins benefits are % bioavailable (as apposed to only a % we receive when taken orally). As a super antioxidant Vitamin C benefits the immune system, supports physical stress and fatigue, counters infection and can be super supportive for those navigating the side effects of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy (although some oncologist may not align themselves with this theory). There is also a radical bunch of integrative and alternative therapist and doctors that believe Vitamin C may also offer cytoxic (toxic to cancer cells) results. I have been undertaking this therapy for many months now, and although I can’t claim that this treatment directly effected the shrinkage of my largest tumour, I can absolutely attest to the amazing benefits this therapy has had on my overall health and wellbeing. With love Please note that all information shared above is based on my own personal health journey. Please advise your consulting specialist prior to making any adjustments to your current health or treatment regime.

06.01.2022 Acceptance is not a linear path....in fact it’s anything but It’s a meandering, often confusing and confronting, deep diving and resurfacing, profoundly vulnerable and yes, for the most part, beautiful path. Beautiful, because on the other side of that often heart breaking vulnerability, is the most heart connected peace. And then, you do it all again. ... In my experience the path to this freedom space definitely has much fewer moments of fear and suffering, and so many more deep and long lasting moments of peace and abiding love, but it’s not to say I don’t still occasionally go there. It’s a journey A journey back to self. A journey back to the truth. A journey back to love. With so much gratitude
